    Our truck had a slow coolant leak. We have a family friend who is a 30 year retired Ford mechanic who saw the leak on the passenger side with his scope (just didn't have the tools to fix it himself). We told Freedom Ford where the leak was when we dropped the vehicle off (they did not document this). Freedom Ford ended up repairing the drivers side turbo, which we didn't realize- they just called and said they found the leak and we gave them permission to fix the leak- we assumed it was on the passenger side like we told them. We picked the vehicle up- the same day we identified it was still leaking and that they had repaired the drivers side. We now have to pay $1700 to get the passenger side fixed. They will not acknowledge they fixed the wrong side. The managers claim that the passenger side leak is a new leak. They claim they have "the best mechanic in DFW" and stand by his work. I guess it is quite the coincidence that it developed a leak the same day we picked it up (even though we even told them where it was)!!! The new Ford dealership we took it to, can't believe how Freedom Ford is handling this. We did file a complaint with Ford Corporate but they said that these are franchises and they cannot get involved. We paid over $3200 (but that included a repair to something else that needed fixing too. The leak was about $2000.)

    I purchased a vehicle from here and the service after the sale is horrible. I drove two hours to get this truck and noticed on the way home that there was a significant chip in the windshield that had been covered by the "as is" notice. Since it was a Saturday, I called Monday and my salesman, Ethyn, insinuated it wasn't there when I left, and if it was it was filled. It is not. I also only received one ***. ***** stated he would try to locate the other and mail it. After reminding him multiple times, he stated the previous owner lost it. I purchased the most extensive warranty offered (5k). I did not receive any coverage details and was told they would be mailed to me. I called ******, the finance manager, who sold the warranty, and was told all I would get was the contract I signed, which is just the name and phone number of the warranty company. I was led to believe I had coverage for the windshield, but the chip is not covered. I was led to believe everything electronic was covered, but the *** is not covered. I was led to believe I had roadside assistance, I do not. Roadside assistance is offered by the ***** if you live in *****, I do not. ****** said it was a misunderstanding. I completely understood what he said, it was misleading. My advice, take pictures of the flyers on his desk because that will be your only proof and don't expect them to follow up on anything they say after the deal is done!
