The next Wednesday, August 4, we opened the door backed the car to go to church, but the door would not go down using either our remotes nor the button inside the garage nor the keypad beside the door.
We lowered the door manually. The next morning we called and were told there was no way they could get here before Friday (the next day). We (mistakenly, as it turned out) took that to mean they would come on Friday. We heard nothing; therefore, we called the cell phone. We called that cell phone several times that weekend. But each time we were told by the machine to leave a message. But each time we called (including 7:45 am today, 8-11-21) we hear the message box is full).
Monday 8-9-21 we were at church and called on m our cell phone. For the first time we were answered and told they had a job out of town (Emery) the previous Friday and had worked there all weekend. But, the man said they would come to fix it that afternoon. We set up an approval with our security to let them in. No show, again.
We tried to call several times yesterday and again this morning from our home phone. All we get is same answering machine and a full message box.
Therefore, I searched the internet and found this email in order to tell our problem and have a record I did so again and again.
I need my garage door RE-fixed for our security out here in the woods. I feel we have been more than reasonable; but we are very frustrated with being ignored and unable to talk to a person on the only phone number available on which to do business with your company Shamburger Overhead Door.
Please call today and set an appointment which you will keep. Our phone has a answering machine which works and is not full. Our home number is still XXX-XXX. .
While, again in town, my husband used his cell phone (which was promptly answered by ****) on Thursday, 8-12-2021. He was told that **** had called some of his customers and thought he had called us that he was to be working in Huntsville. My husband asked If he was planning to fix our door. When told "Yes", he asked for an appointment. **** said he'd be here the next day. My husband asked for a time and was told 10:30 am. We made arrangements with our security gate again for that time. We have still not heard from or seen him again on 8-12-2021. We had the door fixed yesterday by another contractor who put 2 NEW safety sensors (they were wrapet in plastic and in a closed box). When we noted the prior sensor installed by Shamburger was not wrapped nor in a box, the contractor nervously smilled and told us that is the way they come. With that and with the previous sensor only lasting 4 1/2 days, My husband and I assumed we had been sold a $75 used sensor. I send this to you in order to help otherr people getting taken as we were.
