June 2022 thru November 2022.We have had several concrete jobs done since fall of 2021. Until Now they have delivered results. We had one last job that we paid for in June. I have him **** cash and he worked 1/2 day citting up the old deck. I did all of the remaining removal of the deck and prep work. They have yet to complete it. Each time they say they are arriving they fail to show. Additionally I have done 80% of the work and have purchased materials he was supposed to purchase [ rebar and 2 x 6 for the forms] I wrote up a new contract that he signed and specified a completion date of Nov 1st. I also gave him an additional ******************************************* 1 days labor. I specified on comtract 500 more upon completion by Nov 1st He failed to meet this date, I gave him until Nov 2 to show up, and he said he would be here at 8:30 and did not show. This same behavior has been occuring since June 2022...he claims he will finish but never shows up. I know now that he has no intention of finishing.We like his work but he is not finishing this ladt project. We just want him to finish. I also know by his own admission he has been fired from jobs, most recently a concrete job at the Alamo. When he works he does good work. He fails to complete jobs and moves on. He owes money to a rental company for destroying a rented bobcat. His company is a mess. I thought we were helping him by giving him jobs. He is just not fit to be in this line of work. I have saved all text messages and have a signed contract. I want my money back or the job completed.
