The following complaint concerns a verbal agreement to repair a residence, build a complete exterior ********************** an out-building all of which is located at ********************************************************. On or about October 18, 2022, the owner of 2nd Chance Construction ***************************** met and agreed upon a price to remove the damaged wood from the residence and replace with new siding, along with repairing a portion of the foundation on the west side of the residence. The price agreed upon was $6,000.On or about November 7, ****, we agreed on the price of $4,600 for the Turnkey of a washroom. On or about November 15, 2022, we agreed on a price of $6,500 to re-side & roof an existing outbuilding (shop) along with repairing & leveling the floor. The total cost of the 3 projects we agreed upon amounted to $17,100.I can produce documents to prove that I have paid in good faith $16,300, thus holding up to my portion of the agreement, however ******************** refuses to finish the projects we verbally agreed upon ******************* has told me via telephone on 3 occasions over the past month that he would complete the projects. I have related to ******************** that I am prepared to pay the balance of $800.00 once all is complete.I have followed up with businesses concerning things ******************** has told me and discovered him to be untrue in his explanations to me. Most recent, he stated he was working a job in an effort to get the money to purchase material for my project(s). I asked him what happened to all the money I gave him, and he said, ******** dont know I just got caught up in some things. On 12-28-22, I sent ********************, owner of 2nd Chance Construction a 10-day demand letter to finish the projects or reimburse me $4,500 so I could hire another company. I have marked my calendar for 5pm central time 1-13-23 for that deadline. If this issue cannot be resolved with your assistance, I will pursue in ****** Co., **.
