On January 13, 2024, T****** A******** with Westerland Auto Glass changed (as contracted) the windshield of my Lexus and caused considerable damage. After he arrived at my house to begin the job and began, I received a call from him asking me to come outside. He told me that my prior windshield had been improperly installed and the only way to remove it would be to break it in place. The reality is, he had already started to break it in place and there was nothing laid down to catch the glass that had already fallen all over my car. Regardless, Mr A******** proceeded to show zero care and gross negligence to my vehicle in smashing my current windshield to remove it, covering the interior and exterior including every interior nook, cranny, and crack with broken glass and glass dust, scratching areas of my dashboard and ripping in several spots a portion of the fabric headliner. He stood on a ledge to oversee the top of the car with glass under his feet scraping interior moldings. When I asked him to stand on the protective sheet that I provided as to not scrape the molding he said "If he slips I'm responsible". While xpressing shock & anger at what I was watching, his response was "just take it to the car wash". He left scratches in the roof, the hood and the upper side of the car, he also didn't bother to vacuum the glass shards out before he installed the new windshield. There is piled up glass lodged in my ceiling, & under my hood/engine compartment. He then called the police on me claiming that I was refusing to pay which was a blatant lie. I told him I would only pay once I spoke to the company owner to which he said he was simply an installer. He refused to provide me with the owner's contact info. When the police arrived and asked him who the owner was, as it turns out he lied. He is the owner. This man has caused damage to MY vehicle and claims responsibility for nothing! I am taking legal action!
