I advised that my other dogs also had to be treated and asked if there was any possibility to get a portion of the $600 back to help pay for these medical costs. her dental cleaning and extraction will cost $600-$800, and her knees will be around $1500 apiece could be more. I asked what my $600 paid for since dogs was spayed prior to coming into the rescues possession. It has been customary at least here in Or. that rescues get animals tested and have dentals done on the dogs and any health issues discussed. In the contract that is emailed to potential adopters it states that if ARK finds an adopter isn’t taking care of an animal they can take it back at any point at the adopters expense and can sue said adopter for up to $2000, This is curious considering they are making $600 per dog, and so not even get basic needs met. They drove up in a van with around I think 50 dogs on April 15 and had to of known that some of them could’ve been sick since none of them have been tested. They’re driving these animals all over the country. I was not the only person who has another dog in the home. This is complete negligence on the part of this rescue.
