      Date of transaction: 6/21/23 Amount paid: $799, insurance deductible Service: Autobody work to repair a front bumper accident Description: I got a car accident on my front bumper of the vehicle and I went to this auto body shop to repair my car through Progressive, the quality was below standard as photo shows, bumper not aligning with body, big gaps etc. Furthermore, the right side wheel arch fell off during my normal driving a month later, the adjacent parts show no sign of crashing or even scratches. However, this business technician claimed it to be air pressure change or somebody else bumped into this specific part without touching else where, complete excuses for his poor workmanship. The vehicle has been driven for 18 months without an issue but the wheel arch fell off just a month after the repair. The business is not taking responsibility of this incident and basically refuse to provide any more service although they claimed to have a life-time warranty for their workmanship.       Anyone can see from customer pictures (i have sent in this reply) image 42 shows bumper in good condition when shop repaired image 41 again 

      customer sent images to BBB image 41 shows bumper damage lower cover has separated from the upper cover also the park sensor in image 41 has been knocked loose

      that shows how hard the bumper was hit making the rt bumper flare to come off. we will be happy to give customer a estimate to repair or customer can make another

      Better Business Bureau:

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  

      The business manager says they have fixed the bumper which I don't disagree and that's why I paid at the first place.

      I'm submitting this claim because their workmanship is poor and the same side front wheel arch fall off without any accident by itself only one month after the repair.

      There are no scratches or bent to be found, which only leads me to one conclusion that the assembling wasn't done right and it was loose when they reinstalled the bumper.

      If they say the wheel arch was damaged by the previous accident, then it should also be repaired because I got it repaired through Procore and I paid deductible.

      I'm not saying the business didn't repair the bumper, I'm complaining because the business either ignored the damage or create the damage when they did the repair.

      in this image the lower part of the wheel flare still has the flare frame attached to the bumper the white dots is where the factory bonds the skin that is the paint surface you can see where the skin was pulled off

      causing the white marks from the bonding glue. when we removed the flare the frame was attached  you all so can see the red clip that holds the flare frame to the bumper that is what we removed. to paint and repair 

      the bumper on the estimate there is time to {O/H} over hall the bumper that means everything has to be removed from to bumper for refinish including right and left flares only the right side came off acording to

      the customer if someone for BBB can call me to better explain i will be more than happy to talk with someone. i will offer the customer no charge to paint and install new flare if the customer get a new one from 

      the dealer. this also happened 30 days after car was pick up from the repairs.

      I would rather have you furnish the flare and get this fixed as you said paint and labor is waived. May I know how much would it cost?
