I had my vehicle towed to this shop. I requested an estimate that resulted in a quote to purchase and replace the engine. I never agreed to proceeding with this purchase or repair but the shop refuses to return my vehicle to me until I pay for their mistake in ordering the engine. They are holding my vehicle hostage for services not ordered or rendered. I simply wish to pay for the services rendered so far (new oil plug and an oil change) and receive my vehicle back.

Spoke with the customer and responded to his review on ******. He was pleased with the end result.

Here is a copy of the response:

Good afternoon ******, completely understand your frustration and want you not to worry. I apologize about the miscommunication. Obviously in this situation another mechanic shop performed the oil change and did not secure the drain plug which caused your motor to get damaged. You came to us because of our reputation and because the other mechanic shop that caused damaged to your vehicle approved our repair estimate. The manager of that other repair facility had reached out and asked if we ordered the engine and without speaking directly to my Service Advisor I did proceed and that is miscommunication. There will be no charges of restocking fee and we will get that used engine returned and only charge for what you and my service advisor agreed on, but I am currently out of town for the weekend attending a family wedding and returning back Monday evening at 7 PM. Monday is my travel day and I will do my best to communicate with my team and get this taken care of so you can pick up your vehicle and either repair the vehicle or keep the funds to use at your own discretion. I appreciate your understanding and will also offer a complimentary tow to take the vehicle to a location of your choosing within 10 miles.

Hello, My break lights were not working, they told me to replace the BCM. I did so and paid 1.8k. The repair doesn’t work. They provided me with a replacement car during the repair which hadn’t pass the state inspection and which broke down in the middle of the highway and put my life in danger. They don’t have availability and replacement cars, which means I have to drive without functioning break lights because of them. They don’t return calls and texts. Thank you for your help.

I have spoken with the customer and he brought his vehicle back in today. Turns out all of this was all because of a faulty brake light bulb. We have fixed the issue and awaiting for him to pick up his vehicle.

I had problems with my ac not blowing when I just had gotten my ac repaired there a few months prior. So I called and explained the problem and was told I had a 2 year warranty. I waited in the lobby for over an hour. The tech came out and told me he had fixed the vaccum hose that was leaking and the charge me $130. I was shocked because at no point in time did anyone get my authorization to do any repairs. They didnt inform me what they did until it was done. On the paper it said the shop would repo my car if I did not make the payment and they still had my keys. I voiced my complaint that I was told it was under warranty and if that wasnt the case I came prepared pay the $30 diagnostic fee. I was told by Marcus that "we are in the business of making money and I took the initiative to make the repairs". I explained that I didnt authorize any repairs only a diagnostic and it was done without consent. When I requested a full refund I received no reply. I should've only been charged $30.

The customer came in for a check engine light and nothing related to the previous air condition repair.

The technician found an issue with the evap system and repaired a broken vacuum line.

She was billed for the time and the repair since it was not a warranty issue. Her claim is invalid and incorrect. I have not spoken to the customer yet but my service advisor spoke with the customer. As a courtesy and being a repeat customer we refunded her 50% but she is still unhappy.

I will be reaching out to discuss with her.

I can be reached at 713-480-****

      Thanks
