12/28/2023-12/29/2023: My car was towed from an apartment complex, I can understand that. It was towed at 1152 according to their report sent to the apartment complex. I had called the police nonemergency line and they had not been informed of my car being towed. Some how it magically drove over 15 mins to the storage lot and checked in 5 mins before midnight so they can charge for a storage fee. Cash only payments was demanded (over $270), overcharged me by too many fees such as i was in city limits (i wasn't but i believe it is about $40-60 in excess fees), refused towing ticket receipt to me the owner so i can verify charges, refused to let me see or get my belongings from my vehicle unless I paid to release it first such as my insurance and vehicle registration. * *** ** ******** ** **** *** ****** ** ***** for them to allow me to check my vehicle before signing any paperwork even though they verified ownership via drivers license. Refusing to let me see my vehicle and not having a tow ticket to verify charges is highly illegal but they didn’t care. When I was forced to pay they wanted to keep the spare change until I said it was theft again. They then suddenly found cash change to give me. They made me sign a document saying that I changed the tow from a non-consent to a consented one before release of my vehicle so that way they don’t have any backlash against them. I believe they did go through my vehicle for my belongings as my back trunk looks pretty rifled through and unusual placement of my bags, more so than when the care was tilted and being towed.
