    12/8/2023 My engine light came on so I called ********** to check my engine warranty, they verified my warranty was good until Nov of 2024. So I called and scheduled a appt with Steele South Loop Hyundai, when I went into the dealership I explained engine is under warranty. So My advisor was Armando **** he stated "he would have the vehicle looked at in 2 months which would be Feb 2024 ." I asked him why would it take that long if my appt is today he stated "because they were backed up 2 months to look at engines." So I left and called the dealership back and talked to the service manager David *******, he stated Armando explained it wrong he stated "the tech would run a pass or fail on the engine, if the engine fails they would submit a claim if approved a engine would be ordered and it would take a month to be mailed out. He stated he would have my car looked at on 12/13/2023. " On 12/13Armanado called me and told me the issues with the car as well as an estimate based off parts and labor , an emailed to me for review . the car needed fuel injector replacement and spark plug . Armando told me the car would be fixed by 12/19, I said can you guarantee that he stated "yes." I texted Armando on 12/18to verify if my car would be ready, I received no answer , So I called and the service rep stated She didn't know the status of the vehicle and only Armando could answer and he would be in on 12/19, so I received a text from Armando on 12/19 called me later and stated that the parts were put on the car, the car was driving fine then the engine light came back on, they told him he needed to put a microscope in the engine to look inside, after the tech looked inside stated that a valve was broken and a gasket need to be replaced at the top of the engine, i told him but you told me that would fix the car. He said this is what's needed now , i asked how much does it cost , stated a “A price of a car" I told him but my engine is under warranty he stated but not the top

    I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. We traded our car for a Tahoe that we bought there and less than 2 weeks later we had some major issues that could have made us wreck. We took it back to the dealership and they said we will look at it but that we didn't buy extended warranty in which it was never offered. So their mechanic looked at it and said that there was a leak in the hose and that the transmission is shot. The mechanic also said that it has been messed up for a long time. So the dealership obviously knew about it but didn't disclose that information to us.
