Manager Megan M**** at Connect 1 in Houston TX was unwilling to help me to solve my problem. She wanted to charge me about $560.00 to send a technician home to check the Control 4 system and to update my new internet provider in the system. They installed the system in 2017 and they have always charged me $135.00 for the tech visit. I would like to advise consumers to stay away from Connect 1 in Houston Texas, do a search and use other companies instead.

Hello Mr. Villanueva: My apologies if you felt I was rude or unkind in any way. As I stated in our phone conversation your Smart Home Control4 system was installed in May of 2017, which is over 5 years ago. When you made the decision to change your internet provider it cancelled the programing of your system and would require a Certified Control4 technician to reprogram your entire system to the new equipment and provider. The programing will take approximately 1-4 hours of labor and because of your circumstances we would be willing to only charge you two hours of programing to assist you. The total for the service would be $258.00 and would ensure that the tech would due everything possible to get your system back up and running again. If any further items needed to be upgraded or replaced we could discuss that before work was done. Your system is no longer under warranty but as a valued customer of ConnectOne we wish to continue our past relationship with you. Horrible, horrible company that takes OVER FOUR MONTHS to resolve the tiniest of issues. They installed mismatched wall plates in my new construction home and were "unable" to find the correct plates after FOUR MONTHS of "searching far and wide" for them. I found the correct plates within fifteen minutes of searching and now they're being absolute jerks about the reimbursement. Small Claims Petition will be filed with Harris County's Justice of the Peace (Precinct 5, Place 2 for anyone else looking for the correct justice at time of writing in December 2021).
