      As part of Dish's promotion to switch carriers I was promised a $500 gift card 6-8 weeks after I started Dish service. It is now 3 months after I started service. I have paid my bill promptly as required, but I have not received the gift card. I am now being told it will be another 6-8 weeks. That is not fair. Just another bait and switch tactic that consumers have to have to face in dealing with these sorry companies. You have to sign a contract with them and keep up your end of the bargain, or you are liable. Yet, on the other end, they do not keep their promise. Again, that is not fair. I want an adjustment made to my bill to compensate for their broken promise.

      Switched to Dish satellite and was told we qualified for free installation and a $500.00 gift card. Was sent an email to go to gidish to collect gift card. Could not sign in to godish, so we called Godish. was told by a representative that we had to log in to the godish app to claim $500 gift card. After several failed attempts to log in, we called back was told we were using the correct user ID. Continued to try logging in and failed everytime. I kept calling back. Finally in Oct 2023 I got a representative that suggested we change our user ID. That's when I was able to sign in on the godish app. Now I couldn't find it after the 60 days to claim gift card. Called godish again and this representative told us it had to be before 60 days. I asked to speak with a supervisor, bc i couldn't sign into the app, to collect the $500 gift card before in the first 60 days. He told me he was escalating my complaint & I would receive a call from corporate. After 2 months & no phone call, I called back. The representative told me he was escalating it again. That same day I received an email denying my request. I called back & a dish rep said they listen to recorded conversations and they had no record of my calls until Oct & my 60 days had passed. I told him that impossible bc I had called in at least 4 times about not being able to login to godish before 60 days. The only way to get the gift card was thru godish. I was so upset. Then I find out that this scam has been going on for several years. Why has nothing been done about this. One of the reasons I signed up was for the $500.00 gift card

      I switched to Dish Network for cable TV services in October of 2023. At the time, I was told that I qualified for a $400 gift card for making the switch from my previous cable provider. During the sign up process, there was no mention of how to redeem the card. I assumed that it would just be sent in the mail. Recently, my wife asked if I had ever received the card. I looked and found an email in my junk folder dated April of 2023 saying that I was no eligible to request my gift card after downloading an APP. I downloaded the APP and it said that my gift card redemption window had expired (even though I still have over 10 months left of my contract with Dish. I called their customer service department. The lady said that I could not redeem my gift card and that there was nothing that she could do. I asked about canceling my service so that ai could go back to ****** **. She said that Dish would charge me a $200 early termination fee if I did so. I am hearing from several people (and also reading complaints online) that this is a common scam that has been operated by years to get people to switch to them as a provider and they make it difficult to redeem the gift card that subscribers had been promised.

      I have called Dish several times, 5/27, 7/6, and 7/16 in hopes of collecting my $150 bonus gift card all to no avail. First they disputed the amount and said they would have to check the tapes pertaining to the transaction. After some time the amount was confirmed and I was told an additional time period would be necessary and i would receive a card in the mail and to follow the instructions explicitly. no card has arrived after 90 days. if Dish will not honor its contract, I see no reason for me to honor it either and will seek to nullify it because of their non compliance.

      As a one-time courtesy, we will go ahead and resend redemption certificate and extend redemption process to customer.

      False Advertisement: I was promise a $150 Gift Card on 4/5/2022 by mentioning code: Card150. I did just that and now they are telling me that is not on my record. False Advertisement galore , beware!
