THIS CONTRACTOR REFUSES TO PAY HIS SUBCONTRACTORS!!! We pride ourselves in keeping schedules and being a team player on all projects. This is my reputation, and we take pride in delivering on time and quality work. We pay our suppliers and employees to have this company refuse to pay us! I have been in contact with several other contractors and subcontractors that have had the same issue with this company. Now I am being forced to contact an attorney to attempt collection and have filed mechanics liens which is another added expense. I will also spend the time to contact and warn his other clients and subcontractors of ELS Construction.

We've built 3 Scooters Coffee shops as part of a franchise and used ELS on two of them. Overall, they come in generally least expensive of the other contracts. But, lessons learned is that they used extremely poor quality of resources, some such as the electricians and plumbers on site were not licensed. Their ability to manage a project scope, schedule, budget, quality, resources, communication, and overall risk management is very poor. Our Lewisville locations was 4 months behind schedule, primarily due to all the above items I outlined above. Their quality of work is just bad. Our plumbing in Lewisville leaks, they have not repaired, our HVAC has gone out twice for a new store, ELS contractor did not honor, ELS does not help you connect with contractors to fix warrant issues, because they use fly by night cheap, poor quality contractors and then you can't get in touch with them if there is an issue. Our flooring already looks like a 10 year old store in Lewisville as well. Just overall a poor experience. We used ELS for our 2nd store in Grapevine, based on many empty promises made by the program manager Mark Garcia. Grapevine, opened 4 months behind schedule as well. Again, same reasons as outlined above. The issues we have at Grapevine due to ELS are. Water leaking and coming up through our floor from the irrigation, ELS hasn't fixed, and not honoring warranty. Pipes leaking under sinks, we have to have buckets to catch water. Again, ELS not honoring warranty work. To top it off, ELS has over $90K in change orders, that were not verbally approved or physically signed off on. Outrageous amounts added to their fixed price bid that were egregious. This company is horribly ran, projects are poorly executed. Delays can be expected to a certain extent. But, when the delays are a result of waiting for a cheap contractor to become available, or cheap part, or not being able to get along with city inspectors, not managing a project schedule.
