M.A. Winter held an estate sale at my mother's home in *******, Texas July 29 - 31 2022. I did not receive an inventory list of items being sold before the sale. All I have in documentation is pictures posted by the company on EstateSales.net. After the sale the representative provided only a handful of receipts and an envelope containing $2,200 in cash and the handwritten note: “$3660.00 sale $2196 – 60% $2200 - paid” The receipts provided total $2,176.50. There is no documentation of a total sale of $3,660. Most receipts provided were blank or had insufficient description. There is no receipt totaling over $132 which was for a chest. Receipts for large pieces of furniture, a vintage sterling silver tea set, and an expensive large gold ornate mirror, (originally $750), are missing, among other missing receipts. With limited descriptions on the sales receipts provided, I was able to match only 11 receipts with items shown in the pictures. The value of the missing items with no receipts totals $7, 686. I’ve attached photos of the payment envelope and example receipts, along with a list with values and status notes. I have sent an email and a certified letter to the company asking for the following: 1. A full inventory of all items listed for sale or in your possession at any time 2. A full accounting of the sale, including receipts with detail for any items sold 3. Payment in full for any items sold or not returned The certifed letter was refused and the email unanswered. Certainly there are others who have had issues with this company and no resolution. I'm hoping that my experience may prevent others from hiring this sompany.
