Consumer complaints allege work not being completed or work left undone, crews leaving the work site messy or property was damaged, company not being available for warranty work and company not retuning phone calls. Complainants have also stated the company is not honoring warranties.

Had foundation work to prevent sinking/shifting back in 2017 from Abry Bros. They installed piers under the house. Work has a lifetime warranty. They assured me repeatedly shifting would stop after work. It never did. During the work they destroyed the brickwork on the front porch despite them promising they wouldn't do that. It took 4 months to get them to resolve and repair and even then they had to use bricks I had instead of supplying replacements. It took them subsequently 2 years (2019) before they sent me the warranty document (attached). In 2022 I contacted them for warranty work several times, no response. I gave up. And now a year later, as settling continues to get worse, I have done the same, with no response. I called and was answered once but when I was asked if the call was for new or warranty work I said warranty and they then disappeared. The house has shifted considerably from when they did work, major cracks in the walls and I'm afraid I've got a ticking time bomb here. I'd prefer resolving this through BBB without court costs and hassle. I just want them to honor their warranty and repair the damage from not responding when I first asked. On 12/28/11, Abry Brothers repaired my house foundation for $10,520 with a lifetime guarantee. I have been calling Abry Brothers for two years but no response. I have called left messages. Now, when I call the phone number , I had from original paperwork, the number is not working. I called other phone numbers of Abry locations in Houston but all numbers not working. I was impressed with Abry Brothers originally but when I needed warranty work done there has been no response.Initial Complaint

I originally hired Abry Brothers in the spring of 2015 to install 28 pilings for the amount of $11,250 which came with a Mega-Pier Lifetime Foundation Warranty. Over the last few months I have noticed numerous drywall cracks in multiple areas of my home and would like to schedule an inspection and have repairs made. I have been unable to make contact with the company by phone and need someone to contact me. I still have my original quote provided by Charles Watkins, map of my home showing where the work was completed and the warranty certificate if needed.Initial Complaint

The company did foundation work for me previously and I am selling the house therefore I need the warranty transferred to the new owners. I have a call Abry Brothers Foundation 6 times And no one has returned my phone call. I just keep getting the answering service. I asked the answering service if they are still in business and they say yes and they gave me the address of the company which is the same address that I have. If they’re not in business then they have an answering service taking calls for them which appears to be a scam.Initial Complaint

I called Abry Brothers Foundation because my house was sinking they came out they fixed it they said. I have a 10 year warranty on it which is not expired yet it is sinking again. I am 75 years old I live on $826 a month and I can’t afford to have somebody else come out and fix it. My home is sunk almost 2 inches on one side. I’ve been calling for the last several months the last couple weeks I’ve been calling every day they keep telling me they’ll get the message to who’s ever in charge and it’s the same thing nothing is ever done nobody ever calls me they told me to call and schedule an appointment I’ve done that somebody was supposed to call me back nobody’s done that I need my home fixed I have nowhere else to live this is all I have it’s very important to me I have a warranty on it and I would like for them to honor it hopefully you can help me. Thank you very much Karol Webb I have asked for a copy of my contract and I have yet to get that so there’s no further information I can give you I’m sure they have my records. I will try and find proof of payment it goes back a couple years but as I said I had a 10 year warranty and it wasn’t fixed fully the first time they came back a second time that didn’t fix it and here I am againInitial Complaint

I have been trying to get Abry Bros to respond to me about warranty work for my foundation since summer of 2021. I bought the house in spring of 2021 and it came with a lifetime transferable warranty. I have called them multiple times, filed a warranty work request on their website, and sent a letter from a lawyer. All of which received no response. Since the time I started reaching out to them, my property has experienced increasing damage due to foundation issues (doors becoming unable to close, cracks in the ceiling and walls). This damage pattern is consistent with the previous work done on the house as verified by a third party contractor.Initial Complaint

I had a foundation repair at my home that failed and needed additional repairs. A sales agent (**** *****) came out to the house and reviewed the damage and agreed that the required repairs were covered under my warranty. Its been over two years since the sales agent came to my house. Initially, Abry Brothers said they were short staffed due to COVID 19 and now they won't return my calls. I talked to the former sales rep employee **** ***** and he stated that "Abry Brothers is not honoring their warranties and my best resolution would be to contact the BBB." Hello Mr ****:
Abry Brothers has no problem honoring the warranty for our customers we installed here in Houston.
At this time, I do not have access to files since we are not working from the office. So if you would like
please send your contract and drawing and repair plan that supposedly Mike Knapp provided to you.
However, Abry Brothers will NOT address your concerns via a BBB complaint. The fact is that you have NEVER
emailed or left Abry Brothers any messages regarding your foundation concerns. So there is NO NEED to escalate
anything when you should have at least made an attempt to contact us.
Secondly, if you are communicating to a former contractor of Abry Brothers then it sounds like you can continue with him
and leave us out of it. We will NOT address concerns from anyone who is being directed by
a former contractor. There are MANY reasons why Mike Knapp is no longer with the company.
And if you say he came out to do the inspection, Mike NEVER turned in anything to the office.
Which should just show you that he's the problem why Abry didnt reach to you to set a date for
the repairs. He is SIMPLY A DISGRUNTAL FORMER CONTRACTOR whio never followed
through with anything.
Therefore, BBB PLEASE CLOSE this complaint seeing that the customer simply was following directions of someone
that doesnt know any better. And if this customer has a concern with the work we provided then he must contact
us like normal procedures any company would have.
Thank you and I will be looking to see when this complaint gets closed.

I have called Abry Brothers (800) 787-8288 multiple times, speaking with an Abry Brothers representative explaining about my warranty repair and leaving my contact information to receive a phone call. I've yet to get a response from anyone. I talked to Abry Brothers representative "Naisma" this morning and she has notes from my previous calls and couldn't explain why I have not received a call back. Naisma said she would send my information AGAIN to a representative.Business response

We have an answering service which sends messages ofver AND nothing from you have come over.
You want a response from the company then go to the correct protocals.
Go to their website and submit a warranty claim
As long as this complaint is open then the company will address anything!

We contacted Abry Brothers to fix our foundation about 4-5 years ago. They came out, done the necessary work and then collected payment. We paid this company over $12,000 for the work completed and received a warranty that states “if any additional adjustments are needed they would be done without cost to owner”. Now we are in need of adjustment. We have called several times (call won’t even go through) and emailed several times. What good is a warranty if you can ’t contact them. I do not recommend this company. We trusted them and can say now we are stuck.
