      We purchased a new home from David Weekley Homes on 03/20/202. The HVAC unit that came with this home has failed 9 times to date. We identified the first failure with our HVAC when we did the new buyer walk through and punch list prior to closing on this house. Since then, multiple repairs have been done due to numerous failures. Below is a summary of the repairs done to date: 1. replaced compressor 2. replaced condenser fan motor 3. corrected condenser and air handler breakers that were reversed 4. reprogrammed the zone board for heat pump 5. performed leak test 6. replaced valve core 7. replaced zone board 8. replaced outdoor TEV and filter drier. Based on all these multiple failures, I feel that there is something seriously wrong with the HVAC unit that was installed in our new home by David Weekley Homes. I understand Arctic Air Services is the HVAC contractor who installed the unit, and they have been attending to all the repairs thus far. I have attached all their invoices for your reference. This HVAC was under builder’s warranty for 2 years, which expired on 03/20/2023, and any future breakdowns will now fall on the homeowner to repair at our own cost. Given that David Weekley Homes sold us a home with a chronically defective HVAC unit, I asked whether they could extend the builder’s warranty to protect their customer from a known defective unit. But they refused to do so. Due to the negligence of David Weekley Homes, I had to pay out of pocket and purchase a 3rd party warranty to protect ourselves at a cost of $2,095. I would like ask BBB to please help seek compensation for the additional expenses that I incurred to purchase a 3rd party warranty for the faulty HVAC unit.

      Complain regarding Weekly Warranty manager. I wanted to inform you regarding a situation- we complained to AirCo about our air conditioning not working on Friday. The thermostat was showing 90 and 92 on the first and second floor respectively. The technician came after 5 hrs of filing the complaint to say that the compressor has gone bad and it's the manufacturer fault (wrong filling in the attic by David weekly constructors ). They said they would be able to fix it by Tuesday. On Sunday at 1.49 pm that I got voicemail from Andreas saying the following - “Hey Andreas from David weekly homes I just wanna make sure you received my text Regarding your AC my distance that could be that for the new part until Tuesday or so so we do the circumstances is give you a per diem so we'll give you $150 per night at a hotel and $25 per person per day for food and things like that nature 1 50 a day for hotel , then $25 per person for food food And then , when you're working team manager will contact you that on Tuesday when they get back in If you have any questions, give us call. Thanks so much.…” I confirmed with him that we will be paid by Cheque at fixed rate and no receipts required. The condition in the house is not as per living standards and we should be given compensation as we did not pay so much for the house to be having this situation. Today we followed up on the service request and got to know that the part will take 5-10 days to come in and we will no longer be compensated as the "temperature has dropped ". I demand compensation and explanation for this as the house is still very hot the thermostat reads 81 with the window open too. With no ventilation, one cannot cook on the kitchen or even work. I am highly disappointed with the response and the behavior of our warranty manager trying to justify it and asking for receipts etc.
