Sharps inc, does not answer calls or email. Our Charter school had a contract that ended in May with Sharps and they continue to bill us for service. We are a secure campus and have not allowed anyone from Sharps onto campus in six months nor do we have a receptacle to be picked up. Sharps is the most unresponsive company I have ever worked with. From reading the complaints in BBB it seems to be a business strategy to continually charge expired contracts and not communicate with them on any level. I will be contacting ***** ****** surely we are not the only ones in town they are doing this to.Initial Complaint

I am a solo tattoo artist rom Minnesota and am required to have a sharps disposal company to rid myself of sharps waste. I signed up with Sharps Compliance in June of 2021 and the contract was for quarterly pickup, at $70 per quarter. After 3 months I had a scheduled pick up, when the courier arrived he told me he doesn't take the small volume I had, and that I was to fill a larger container. I called Brian ******** with Sharps Compliance to tell him this had happened and that I might need to figure out a different fee and service . He suggested I switch to an "on demand" contract with them which would be more congruent with my small business. I agreed and he told me they would only pick up when I requested it and I would only be charged at the time of pick up. On February or 2023 I was charged $125 out of the blue and requested SA refund the money as no pick up was requested, attempted not made. after a 2 week waiting period I called back and talked to representative Jeff ******* and he was very helpful but the supervisors or higher ups refused to grant me an immediate refund "these things take time" but yet they had no issue charging me when they wanted payment. I suggested a exchange instead, use my $125 towards a mail in service, they told me they would only do that if I purchased the mail in service pre-hand, then they would issue a refund, as you can understand I am already having trust issues with them, so I said absolutely not. I canceled my contract with them that very moment and am now telling you of my issue. They have charged me $70 twice for the quarterly without pick up and I was never informed verbally from the sales rep Brian that there would be a annual charge regardless of pick up or not. so as of right now I am $265 in the red without services rendered. That to me is theft, being charged and receiving nothing in return. I can send bank statements if neededInitial Complaint

We discontinued services with this company. They continue to send us invoices with over inflated information. Stating we had 5 sharps items picked up and there was 1. They are showing open invoices from December until now and this is the first time we are getting this information. We are not sure that this information is pertaining to us directly as others are in the same building. They are showing large pickups and we are a very small office with limited patients and lab services. i am not getting information from them or a detailed explanation even though that has been requested. I disputed the recent bill and she did email stating that it did not sound correct and she would look into that, only to keep sending the same bill with no explanation. This is for services from December to current which we have not heard about until now. BELOW was sent to them again for the 3rd time. . Our service was discontinued as of 7/30/2022 – there has been no service in any of our locations from your company since that time. Look at Elkhart – you have 5 sharps pick ups for that location for the Month of July – THAT IS NOT CORRECT. We don’t have 5 pick ups a year at that location, we only have office 1-2 times a week with 20 patients each day. There is not 2 SHRED bins, there was only 1. The office was closed on 7/11 and on 7/27 there was a pickup of the shred container (1) and (1) sharps box. There was no medical waste pick up on 7/27 at Goshen, the office was closed that day so whomever gave you that date was not correct, it was canceled in June and the last pick up should have been that date which I did discuss with your company. One invoice has us as ********** **********, we are ********** ********** - the first floor dialysis used to be ********** **** and are still listed as that on many invoices.
