I scheduled an appointment via phone and was told I would receive an email. I never received an email so I called to confirm the appointment. When I arrived to my appointment I was assigned to Mary. She asked me questions I never had to answer before, which I chalked up as “no big deal.” She asked for my phone number and I told her. Then she asked if I would be hanging around, I said yes. I asked her would I receive a text message stating that my vehicle was ready. She replied yes! I sat outside for almost two hours waiting for my car. I never received a text message and I called Mary twice. She never answered. After waiting, I became unsettled because it was taking entirely too long for an oil change appointment. I walked to the cashier desk and asked the clerk when would my car be ready. She said who is your service clerk, I responded um Mary. Then a clerk by the name of Celsey interjected stating I have your key I called you over the intercom. Of course I didn’t hear it because I was outside and was expecting a text message. So the problem begins with Mary for lack of communication and not following up with me. I’ve received texts before about my car being ready or someone would come find me. That someone being a black man. So of course I am going to be the one to pull the **** card because Mary’s disposition with me was abrupt and indifferent. She was not friendly or courtesy. Secondly, Celsey the cashier clerk, was unpleasant to deal with. Instead of diffusing the situation, she added her disgruntled attitude. I’m not sure what Celsey’s attitude was about because Im the one that waited and waited. She slammed my keys on the counter, scrunched up her face, gritted her teeth, and was out right disturbing. I’m assuming the attitudes were to make me uncomfortable. Celsey proudly pointed to her name on the window, as if she won’t be reprimanded for her behavior. That says alot for a place that lacks diversity. Good old Lonestar in the Lonestar state.Review from Jason A

Purchased a ‘24 Tahoe and it was one of the best car buying experiences I have had in 27 years. The new car price was fair and my trade-in value was reasonable. I can’t speak to the service department yet, but happy so far.Review from Chris H

Our experience with Johnny ***** was second to none. Our sales associate was O.B. he was straight up person and not like a shark lol. Every part of our experience was pleasant, really enjoyed Elvis at the end with setting stuff up etc. This is a place where you can just hang out if u want , it's truly like a family . We have bought many over the years . Everytime we have gotten a vehicle from another dealership it has not felt the same. Now I will always be a Lonestar family member. Thanks to them !!! I wouldn't have left this review of not completely satisfied!Review from Joseph S

I requested a price offer for a Chevrolet Colorado ZR1. The website had a price of $40,791 and Chevrolet rebate of $750, making the advertised price of $40,041. When I asked to see what they would do, I eventually received an email with an out the door price of $46,605.08, which included the $750 rebate and $500 recent collage graduate rebate. I did the math and it did not add up. I requested a break down of the price. They indicated the price of the vehicle was $44,680. I thought there must be a mix-up. I sent a web picture of the vehicle I was looking at with the VIN # and selling price of $40,041. The finally responded saying saying the vehicle had dealer add-ons of tint, locks, steps and window etching. I consider this false advertising - bait and switch, whatever one wants to call it. I would consider Lone Star Chevrolet disreputable and want to warn people to stay away from them. Email conversation: The website does not show the adds ( tint, locks, steps and window etching) that has been added to the vehicle. There is a $750 rebate plus the conditional college graduate rebate of $500 which requires a copy of your diploma to validate. ________________________________________ Apologize for the outburst. I tried to tel your sales person I could not talk by phone, but they initially refused to send me any information. The vehicle I am looking at is listed on your web site at $40,041 with a $750 rebate. Is your website incorrect? Regards, On Aug 8, 2022, at 5:58 PM, Lone Star Chevrolet wrote: ? Be wary of any deal or agreement you don't have specifically in writing with this dealership. I ordered a new Corvette from this dealership in 2019 and picked it up in 2020. When I was placing the order, we agreed that I would be able to order one of the new 2023 Z06 when they were available and would trade my 2020 Corvette in at that time. A year later, when I picked my car up, this was still the agreement and understanding. I spoke with the sales people, including the sales manager, several times after picking up my car about this, and ensured that I did indeed have my place reserved to order the new Z06. In 2022, when it was almost time for the pre-orders of the 2023 Z06 to start, they changed their tune and told me that they would not be accepting any pre-orders for Z06. In a separate conversation I had with the sales manager, he said that it was his understanding that the General Manager, Johnnie Smith, had decided that they would be purchasing any allotment of Z06 they got as showroom cars so they can turn around and sell them for significant markup/profit over MSRP. This dealership clearly values its profits far more than satisfied customers. I would look elsewhere if you're looking for a dealership that has your best interest and satisfaction in mind. Since I already had an agreement with them to pre-order my Z06, I didn't try to secure similar agreements with any other dealerships and now I've missed the opportunity to order this unique car, probably forever.
