Chad York was hired to do kitchen countertop work for $2875 on Sunday 8-21-22 & he committed to complete it within 1-3 days once the order is placed. I tried to send him money ($1500) by all means. Money could not be transferred due to technical issues. He asked to send at least $1000 to start the project. Monday (8-22-22), $1000 were transferred through my **** of ******* using Zelle. He didn’t start work that day & took on another project. I never raised any objections. He told to come on Tuesday (8-23-22), did not show up & said he is finishing some other job. I did not have any objections to that again. He said to come on Wednesday (8-23-22) morning for a quick 30 minutes measurement. Due to some personal issues, we asked him to come in the evening instead of morning. After waiting for the entire evening, several calls & texts later he finally came on Wednesday. I paid another $500 through ******* using my *** account. He promised to start the project on Friday (8-26-22) & finish it by Saturday. Friday again we waited for him the whole day & he did not show up! He promised again to come on Saturday (8-27-22). Saturday around noon he texted to come between 2-2.30pm but did not show up as usual. At 4.40 pm he sent the picture of different material, not the one I agreed on & hired him for this project. I refused to go for that material & he offered to swap this with the material I wanted & I was ok with that. But again, he forced me to use the material he bought & said cannot finish until Monday (8-29-22). Most of the days we took the day off from our jobs & he has done nothing except to stall us & take our money. We cannot keep doing this & asked him to refund our money as he is unable to do this project & is forcing us to use the material which he bought, not the one which we agreed on. He started mocking me & messaged me “lol” & refused to return my money or return $50 of $1500. He also used derogatory remarks for me like ‘rude’ & ‘ridiculous’
