This was a rebuild of a pond that I installed twenty years ago. When the pond was first completed it looked really nice. However, the problems became apparent immediately. For example, I had underground wiring for lighting in the whole area and during the planning I asked if he'd be able to do the pond without damaging that. The wires were cut in so many places I finally just put in new lights. Probably the biggest issue was with the cement they used between the rocks in the stream. Literally when it was finished, I noticed cracks and it separating from the rocks. I asked about that and he said let's see how it goes. Of course, it just got worse and worse. After a few months, big chunks of concrete were falling free. I waited a little longer to see how the whole thing was going to do because it was so hard to get him out. It only got worse. Another issue was that per the contract they were supposed to put plant root block down over the whole area. After the pond was completed, I realized they hadn't put *any* down. After weeks and weeks of calling and trying to get it fixed, they came out and put down a few small areas of netting. Not only was that not what I really paid for but they just put several of plants right on the netting with no real dirt or anything and of course they died. Further problems - a month or so after the installation, the rubber liner in the bog developed a leak. One of the workers said it was a new design and they thought it might have an issue. So as soon as I told him there was a leak they knew exactly where to go. Frustrating but they did fix it though it did take multiple weeks of calls. When he installed the pond he said "call me in the spring and I will do a free checkup." but by then he wasn't even answering calls. Very disappointing overall.
