Lone Star pools have not maintained my pool. I hired them months ago and my pool has been green ever since to where it is not safe to swim in. They raised their prices for no additional services. They supposedly replaced my filters and housing for 1700 dollars. After two months the filters were so damaged that they had to be thrown away and could no longer be used. I was told by the owner that I would have to pay for a filter cleaning. If you value your money, I would find other accommodations. Huge mistake hiring this company.

Customer did in fact buy a filter from us. Has had a problem w his equipment from the very start of our service and uses a home warranty to do all other repairs that would be covered. We have been sending out pool cleaners multiple times a week (more than the 1x a week he pays for) just to keep his pool from needing to be drained, while waiting for his home warranty company to show up (since February). Our entire industry went up in price as the cost of chlorine has gone up by 300% and gas is now over $4. We told the customer that although he bought a new filter, that you still need to clean the filter for it to turn around your pool. Customer never approved a filter clean telling us his filters were good. After his home warranty came over to look at the pump they took the filter apart and told him his filters were so dirty that it caused his pump to go bad. In my opinion they were just trying to look for a reason to deny a claim, but I will say that his filters were in terrible shape. I contacted the manufacturer rep asking what if anything they can do as filters come with a 1 year manufacturer warranty. I sent pictures and they said the issue was caused to to high pressure (dirty filters) and they wouldn’t warranty the items. Then as a favor to me the manufacturers rep told me that he could give me the upper and lower manifold, but not the filters. I told the customer that I would also give him a whole free month of service, and that the filters cost about $200 so he would be paying for normal service, his bill wouldn’t be effected at all. This was all fine and he was in agreement, then became enraged and threatened to sue me… that’s what you get for trying to help out someone that doesn’t want to pay for maintenance. Customer has threatened to bash me all over Houston. I will not go back to his property, the warranty wasn’t even with me it was a manufacturer warranty, I was going above and beyond and to be treated like this is pretty disgraceful. We leave doorhangers, have called, spoken to him in person and left text messages telling him he needs a filter clean. When he was threatening me with court I told him that I think your miss understanding my offer, that you are getting a deal, that I am calling multiple favors to be able to do this, and you are talking yourself out of a favorable return. Customer then tried to use the text messages as court evidence and told me i can’t prove to him that I ever told him he needed a filter clean. But I have texts showing that he denied them and didn’t want to pay for them. This is 100 percent on him. And am now having to protect my reputation from this.
