We were 100% satisfied with our Amstill roof installation yesterday. They gave us a great price , arrived exactly on time , worked efficiently and totally cleaned up after. They even had a magnetic machine to pick up discarded nails. Our supervisor Eddie was very nice. Very professional and explained the procedure in detail. We contacted Amstill roofing for our roof replacement and after a very detailed presentation by Trent Hair we decided to hire them for our project. The quality of the materials were without question and profession installation a given, however what you may not consider is the cleanup AFTER the job. The previous roof was everywhere after the removal. I had not anticipate the mess. All windows and plants were well protected. That is where Amstill Roofing really showed how professional the company was. Trent was on scene both before during and at the end of the project and the cleanup was incredible. You could not even tell we had a new roof installed that SAME DAY! We interviewed several roofing contractors before we decided on Amstill roofing and we are glad we chose them. We were not paid to give this review, but as far as our experience, we were extremely satisficed with their product and service.

Amstill representative gave an excellent sales presentation; however, the end product did not look like anything like the roofs in their brochures. Too bad the presenter was not doing the actual roofing work. There are noticeable dips in my roof. Amstill replaced some spots of rotted wood on the roof with plywood. The onsite supervisor left after all the shingles were taken off and he was paid. The supervisor claimed he was called back to the office. There was no one onsite for quality assurance related to the actual work of the crew. Afterwards, when I asked about the dips in the roof, I was told more plywood would have been needed causing the price to go up. I would have gladly paid more rather than have dips in the roof. The issue is there was not an onsite supervisor to notice the issue and address it with me while they were doing the roof. When I called Amstill back out, we also found out the crew installed the incorrect sized vent on the roof. In addition, a mess was made in my washroom from the work on the roof. The supervisor asked the crew supervisor to clean it up. Not surprisingly, as soon as the onsite supervisor left, the crew supervisor stopped cleaning up. I was deeply disappointed with the outcome. Amstill tried to blame the dips on the age of my home and pointing out dips in my neighbors roofs, but they did not have new roofs. I noticed some other older homes in my community with new roofs and they do not have the dips. Amstill had excuses, but did not accept any responsibility for the outcome.

They surpassed all expectations except for one.They’re customer service.Their roof inspection was incredibly thorough, identifying areas of concern that were missed by a previous opinion. The representative was extremely knowledgeable,demonstrating and explaining the superiority of their products compared to competitors.The replacement materials were of high grade and precisely as quoted.True to their word,they completed the job on the promised day.Even after enduring three intense rainstorms,the roof remained leak-free without any issues.However, approximately two months after the roof replacement,my wife noticed that the GFI outlets in our kitchen were tripping.Upon investigating,we were shocked to discover water inside the electrical outlets when we opened them.I immediately contacted the company,and they promptly sent out one of their installers. While we didn't find any evidence of problems with the roof itself,we made a startling discovery.Two of their nails had pierced our cold waterline,leading to significant mold and water damage in our walls.Consequently,we had to bear the cost of not only the roof replacement amounting to $16k but also hiring a plumber to fix the compromised pipe,along with a substantial deductible from our insurance company.My only issue with this company is their complete lack of accountability for this accident.This is precisely why companies invest in insurance coverage.It baffles me how they can disregard our situation and absolve themselves of any responsibility.Their response that"your 17-year-old home was not up to code,which is why we hit the water line"implies that they consider the fault to lie with our home.They should have told me that before they did the work.To compound matters,my wife suffers from severe mold allergies,making the situation even more distressing for us.Considering their almost 5-star rating, I had higher expectations from this company.Their failure to take ownership of this accident is deeply disheartening.

We'd like to address the situation with the water line that was inadvertently affected during the roofing project. The concealed nature of the water line, combined with its non-compliant placement relative to building code requirements, unfortunately led to the unintended contact with a roofing nail. The code specifies a 4" clearance from the roof decking for water lines, specifically so this does not happen. Roofing nails are required to penetrate past the decking 3/4". while this particular line was positioned within a quarter of an inch, falling significantly short of the standard. Our team takes immense care to follow industry regulations to ensure the highest standards of workmanship. The incident involving the water line is tied to the incorrect installation of the line itself, rather than our roofing work. As per our contract, we've taken all precautions to prevent such occurrences, and the unforeseen interaction between the water line and the nail was impossible for us to predict or prevent. We understand your frustration, and we empathize with the costs and inconvenience this situation has caused you. Bryan came early so I was not present but I provided him permission to access the roof. Once I arrived at my home, he indicated that he had already conducted the inspection but needed access to my loft. He explained all of his assessment and provided an explanation of degradation of my existing roof and how it could be Amstill could deliver a better roof with two options, I was very appreciative that Brian did not try and force me into an agreement on the spot. I advised him of my existing situation, and what I was trying to achieve, and he honored my position. He provided the cost for two different options, along with a payment plan.

I called Amstill Roofing to have the roof of my newly built house inspected because we were having some builder issues. They had Bryan ****** come out 2 days later and he was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and took pictures of all the issues on the roof and when he came down he thoroughly explained what the issues were and how they should be properly fixed. I will be calling Bryan back out every 3 years to keep up the maintenance on my roof. I highly recommend Amstill Roofing and that says alot.
