      I had an original solar system on my roof and contacted the owner of KNS Solar, Mr Guy ****** to fix some panels that were not working. I also expressed interest in adding more panels and a backup battery system to further reduce my monthly electricity bills. KNS Solar helped design a system that met my needs and proposed consolidating the new and old system costs into one bill, and made it clear that I would not move forward with the new system if it was not possible to consolidate both the original solar system loan and the new one he would be installing for me, to which Guy said he could do. The new system was installed in December 2021, but Guy stated they did not receive the full payment from the loan company and offered to pay the monthly balance on the old solar panel bill until they received the full payment. However, I declined this offer. I followed up in February and March 2022 asking about the $30,000 check to pay off the old bill, but again Guy claimed they had not yet received payment from the loan company named Mosaic loans. I received a reply from KNS Solar's vice president stating he would coordinate with Guy and figure out why there was a disconnect with the payment. I discovered that I had been lied to about the money owed to me by the Mr ******. After confronting Guy, he admitted that he lied, but couldn't pay it all at once. He agreed to pay $5000 every two weeks starting in April 2022, but then delayed payments and blamed financial difficulties in the company. A new account manager named Sean Danley was hired and asked for more time to make extra money and start regular payments on August 1st. I agreed to a payment plan and explained that I don't want to keep reminding the them to pay me every month. I warned that if I have to continue reminding them, I will seek legal action as I have tried to work things out in a friendly manner. But till today all I have received is $7500 of the total $30,000 owed.

      We have addressed this issue with the client. As stated in his comment, we started making payment, but cashflow did not help follow up on the payment. We want to inform the client that we should come up with a final payment by the end of the year.

      Better Business Bureau:

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  

      There are no guarantees as to KNS's willingness to pay the full amount of $22500 by December 2023 seeing as we had come up with an agreement that was changed multiple times before we came to this agreement and should have been paid off by December 2022, as you can see in the payment schedule below. 

      K&S Solar payment Agreement, which they never kept to and paid only $2500 from the agreed schedule below only after I had to keep harassing them.

      After considering it I agreed to the payment plan and made it clear to them that I don’t want to keep on having to remind them about paying me what they owe me every month and that I made it also clear that I will seek legal recourse if this keeps happening as I’ve gone above and beyond trying to work with them to get this done in an amicable way. Till this day all I have received from them is shown below

      I feel their suggestion of paying the full amount at the end of the year only served to buy them time while I still have this debt that they enured in my name to pay. I would rather they pay me a monthly fixed amount like we agreed to which I believe is more attainable then waiting for the full amount at the end of the year.

      We have acknowledged your concerns. Would you consider a monthly payment of $1,000 at a minimum? We should increase amount or pay you off early before Summer.
      Let us you if you would consider this or any feedback would be appreciated. We are here to resolve this matter as soon as possible. I was personally out of office for months as I just returned from Cameroon.

      To Whom May Concern: My name is ******** **, I am the owner of the house **** ******* *** *** ***** ** *****. since I installed the solar panels with KNS solar which my nightmare started. the Kns solar company is really un-professional, and no response. after they installed the solar panel since June 2022, the solar panels still not production right, however I been paid two electrical bills since Oct. 2022, I been really patience to work with Sean D***** (account manager), Kirk P***** (company engineer), but they didn't provide solution to me. if they can't solve the issue, then I would like them to remove my solar panels from roof and refund my all the money. Problem: 1. Need solar panel working right, 2.KNS need pay the first 6 months bill 3. Need install the APP for monitor panels production 4. Need get approval from HOA here is the time line below: 4/21/22: I signed the contract with Lucas B****** he offered first 6 months bill free, which KNS should send the 6 months check to me, but as of now still no happened. KNS will deal with HOA to get approval, as of today the HOA still haven’t approve yet, but they completed the installation (this is wrong process) 7/8/22: Sean D***** told me the installation completed and ask me to sign the completed install documents and move to DER application. (but seems they mislead me to sign the documents even without completed installation) 7/12/22: KNS submitted DER application to *********** 7/19/22: *********** rejected the inspection;(KNS should verify all the info, but seems they didn’t) 7/21/22: KNS re-submitted DER application to *********** 7/22/23: I received email from HOA and started denied. Then I forwarded to Sean D***** (account manager), Kirk P***** (company engineer). And they said they will take care of it, but as of today still haven’t solve it. 8/22/22: *********** rejected the inspection;(KNS still didn’t verify the info correctly) 8/23/22: KNS re-submitted DER application to *********** 9/15/22: I received email from Mosaic that asked me to start pay the monthly payment which $151.97 on 10/1/22, but I don’t understand they solar panels haven’t operated, they told me that no matter what after installation 3 months that I have to pay the monthly bill. This is totally not fair to me which I have to double electrical bill. 10/10/22: *********** sent out the email for KNS and ask put the DER sticker the on the breaker, (“*********** Energy is ready for the next step in the process, to review the specific photos detailed in the DER Sticker Program of the installation. Installers are aware of this program and will upload these photos to the web portal and move the project to the inspection submitted state so the photos can be reviewed.”) once I saw this email and talked with Sean D***** and Kirk P*****. They said would take care verify quick, however week after week, day after day, they didn’t put it on until 11/17/22. I don’t under why they take over a month to put the sticker on. Also this mean KNS didn’t completed the installation during the July. 11/17/22: After I talked with Sean D***** and Kirk P***** many times, the sticker finally put on. 11/22/23: *********** approved the DER application. 11/23/22: Finally, Sean D***** came to my home around 5pm to turn on the solar panels. Due to their delay on the sticker, Kns will pay the Oct, and Nov. bill for me. but as of today I still haven’t received credit/check. Also I asked to install the APP to monitor the solar panels production, and he told me Kirk will call me back to setup. I been asked a lot of times, but they still haven’t install the app for me. 12/7/22: I received my first bill from ***** ******** ******, however once I received the bill and surprised me. the bill date from 12/3/22-12/6/22, and I total used 197kwh, however the solar panels only produced 21kwh. Then I forwarded to Sean D***** and Kirk P*****, and they said will take care, but never happened as of today. I emailed and called them no response. This is really un-professional.

      Mr. **** solar system was installed and admittedly there was a two-way delay in the commissioning of the system:  One was me being slow to get the placcards onto the system at Mr. **** house for inspection, the other was a delay due to Mr. **** wife's name being on the utility account which caused continuous rejection of the PTO application.  However, both Mr. ** and KnS resolved both issues and the system was commissioned and working.  As of today we are working with AP Systems to upload Mr. **** profile so he has full visibility of the performance of his system.

      After Mr. ** met with me in our KnS offices two weeks ago, we agreed that we would monitor the system for up to two weeks before we made any judgement on its performance.  We also agreed that once we have established the systems performance, then we would discuss how to go about a fair way to determine remuneration for Mr. **** bills.

      We appreciate Mr. ** and want to support him, and will continue to work with him to ensure he gets the solar system we agreed on, and also his fairness in any payment of bills.

      KNS installed the APP, and there still have 8 panels  not working in APP. Also I haven't see any update between KNS and HOA to determine the approval.
