The reviews are all correct. They are awful, but even worse, they don't care that they're awful. They submitted my Trademark application incorrectly and therefore it was rejected by the USPTO. Since then they have referred me to SwyftLegal which I am not even certain is a real company, as no-one has ever answered the call or returned a message. I too, had a meeting scheduled for 11 AM today to speak with SwyftLegal and they are a no show. I am out $1,200.00 and taking it to the State Attorney today. It's a shame that you come into this with a sense of pride that you are finally moving forward on your goal of obtaining a Trademark on your idea(s), and slowly but surely they work to defeat your desire to push forward with their never ending run around. Stay away, very far away. I will come back to update the outcome of my talk with the State Attorney. One last item, take screenshots of you chats with their support. They will block your ability to see them.Review from Nathan M

Applied for a basic trademark on February 17th of 2024 under the "Express" option. It is now June 11th and my trademark request randomly gets put on Hold and then when I submit a ticket or speak to an agent they tell me I have to call SwyftLegal who then tells me they will remove the hold. I have been advised to speak to a swyftlegal lawyer twice and each time I applied for the Calendly link, no lawyer showed up on the call at the appointed time. It is such an egregious scam and there is seemingly no easy way to get a refund for the services. Their customer service is only able of saying one thing and that is to contact Swyft Legal and then Swyft does something which removes the Hold status and then it just changes back for no reason. One of the worst pyramid schemes on the Internet. BEWARE using them. Just go to the USPTO website or contact a real lawyer. STAY AWAY.Trademark Engine, LLC Response

Hello!
Thank you for providing feedback about your experience. We're sorry to hear that you're having difficulty with your application. We partner with Swyft Legal to give customers an avenue for legal support, as we cannot provide legal advice ourselves. Swyft Legal has it's own customer service and support, which is why our agents refer you to their channels. However, we share your concern if you have scheduled appointments and they have not been met. We will be coordinating with them to determine the cause of this delay to prevent future issues. We also see that your order has been cancelled at your request. We're sorry the experience was a negative one for you, but we wish you success with your trademark in the future.Review from Ben G

As I'm writing this, I'm on hold w/ my bank to cancel a charge I received from these scam artists for services I never requested... This company will set you up on "Trademark Monitoring Services" and keep weaseling their way to figure out how to charge your card and give you no way to remove your credit card from their site... They put me on an ANNUAL trademark monitoring service without my asking... I cancelled and had my bank refund me... THEN A YEAR LATER... I walk up this morning to a QUARTERLY trademark monitoring service charge???! I'm so Fing pissed... I will let every ecommerce entrepreneur I know (hundreds) to stay as far away from these scumbags as possible.Review from Eugene M

I agreed to pay 50$ to trademarkengine.com to file a trademark. 50 dollars charged and the trademark was filed. I checked my balance and an additional 350 dollar charge was applied to my ****** *******, as well as a 175 dollar quarterly recurring payment was set up without my knowledge that I can't cancel on their site. I never agreed to pay the 350 dollars (if this was the ***** **** this was never presented to me via invoice) and most importantly, I never agreed to sign up with this 175 trademark monitoring quarterly service. They automatically enrolled me into this trademark monitoring trial, which I CAN'T CANCEL ON THEIR WEBSITE. They've already charged me for the first quarter, without giving me an option to opt out of this optional service. I see the subscription listed on my account but there is no option to cancel it. In addition, it shows "free until May 29th" and they've already charged my account on the 28th. I've filed a dispute with ******* They are not responding to support requests via email. COMPLETE SCUMBAGS. They need to get their business license revoked ASAP.Trademark Engine, LLC Response

Hello,
We appreciate your feedback. We sincerely apologize for any confusion regarding your trademark order. The USPTO fee itself is mentioned on the website whenever package pricing is disclosed, as well as the order confirmation email. The USPTO requires a fee of $350 per class (category) that an applicant files for. The monitoring service itself is also mentioned within the package options, as well as on the application check out page. Again, we apologize for any confusion that this may have caused. We can certainly refund the subscription for those who are decide they are no longer interested, but the USPTO fee must be collected for a mark to be completed. If you no longer wish to continue with the application, the USPTO fee itself can also be refunded. Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist with, and we wish you continued success with your trademark!

This company is a complete scam. At the time of this review, it's average customer rating was 2.32 out of 5 and I would say that is generous. In my circumstance, they billed me in error (oh, the tiny print is what they suggested). Further, they up-sell like I have never seen (admittedly, a good sales technique). Oh, yeah, when I was on the phone (I was forced to be on the phone to process a refund) they informed me they conducted a negative check off - did a charge without my consent - on my credit card (not legal in my state). In the end they said they did gave me a refund - still have not seen that is in effect. Proceed at your own risk as I am willing to be the FTC will be contacting them soon.Trademark Engine, LLC Response

Hello,
Thank you for your feedback regarding your experience with Trademark Engine. We're sorry for any negative experience you had with our service. We examined your original order to see what errors may have occurred, but see only the package selected plus the USPTO filing fee mentioned in our ads and on the website. We must collect that USPTO fee in order to submit your paperwork on your behalf. If you have any other charges that you see from us, please let us know so that we can research that for you. We can also supply you with emails containing any refund information you may need for your bank. It usually takes about 5-10 business days, but sometimes transaction information can be handy when working with your financial institution. Again, if you have an further concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out. Thank you!

Trademark engine is not something I would ever recommend They advertise $49. But that is not the bottom line and they neglected to tell me that. False advertising. They also prevented me from having my trademark date when I needed it becuz I am trying to get this done by a certain date and now that date is passed and I am concerned now. When I looked in my *****l account today, they charged me $800 that I never approved. I only approved $49 and I believe they’re scammers. I would go directly to the trademark office over using a company like this one. Not only did they do this. They sent me an email saying if I didn’t file something else, that it was punishable by by a $300 a day fine and jail time and I’m 72 years old. I just wanted a trademark! I did not need that stress first thing in the morning when they woke me up with a text telling me I needed to do this. Nothing when I filed about this. So I give them zero stars because they are a horrible company. I did get my money refunded however. They told me it would take 10 days and my partner told them no that was unacceptable and eventually, they did refund me $700 but I’m still waiting on the other hundred. I feel as though they committed fraud and no one should have to deal with this like I did. I’m too old to have this kind of stress added to my life When all I’m trying to do is trademark my name of my company for my children. Buyer beware do not use this company or any of them because if this company is a scammer, I would have to say I question all of these companies that do this. Thank you for listening.Trademark Engine, LLC Response

Hello!
Thank you for your feedback regarding your experience. We're sorry to hear about all of the confusion with your order. First, I would like to clarify that while we can file an application on your behalf, we don't have control of the USPTO timetable. They are currently taking 8-12 months to begin review of trademarks at this time. We must also collect the USPTO fee, as mentioned on our ads, our website and in your confirmation email. The USPTO charges a fee of $350 per class (or category), which if selecting two classes, would mean total fees would equal $700. However, our biggest concern is any email you received stating anything about a daily fine or jail time. We are a filing service only, and do not have any authority to charge daily fines or threaten jail time. We are concerned that you may have received fraudulent communications, perhaps spoofing our email address. If you have not already done so, please forward any email communications of this nature to our support inbox at [email protected]. We care about your online safety, and we take issues like this seriously. If you have any other concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to our customer service.

the prices for services aren't very clear and yet they charge you for something you can do yourself at the USPTO for relatively free. had to cancel a subscription of 175 which is one; totally overpriced and two; unnecessary. Though, i was assured as to the filing process of the TEAS application which made it easier for me. Up to you to decideReview from Luis M

Even if you turn down all their offers for subscriptions they will charge you so you'll have to dispute the charge. It is not $49 as they advertise, they charged me $400, on a Saturday, when their offices are closed, so I'm not even able to call and dispute. Best bet is not deal with trademarkengine.com. I will be disputing this case and filing against their malicious practiceTrademark Engine, LLC Response
