Un-Accredited Predatory College Existence in Texas and Taking Advantage of US Citizens. My Name Is Ayomide ********* *** I am a 22 year old aspiring Nursing Student in the State of Texas. The Nursing school was later discovered to be an un-accredited predatory institution and a total scam. The total fees for the program was $23,665.00, cost of tuition was $18,940.00, E-books, Lippincott codes & lab supplies $2,500.00, Online resources & Technology fees $2,000.00, lab fees $225.00. So far I have paid $13,600.00, not including all the other expenses this school has cost me from Transportation, room and Board, leave from work, etc. We were told that this program would last a duration of 18 months, we started in July 2020 and was set to graduate December 2022. We were promised in person tutoring, lab materials, consistent lectures, included NCLEX preparation, clear communication, and compassion. None of which we received. We were told that we would receive lectures through a virtual session where we would be able to interact and ask questions. About halfway through that stopped and we just receiving pre-recorded videos and it was almost impossible to get a hold of the Professors. To this day students in my class have yet to receive information on when their names will be sent to the board for the NCLEX exam. Other students have sued the School also out of frustration. I am not the only student in search of redress and justification of the enormous amount of Loaned Money committed to this Fraudulent Nursing School. The school made us pay for online books and resources, most of which we never received or were available for free online. About (1/4) one quarter time into the program I saw so many red flags, professorsleaving left and right, students losing money, not receiving proper education and resources and I wanted to withdraw. One of the School owners preyed on my vulnerability and manipulated me under false pretenses that things would change but they never did
