They seen me coming. I was in a pickle, needing a vehicle I went to this dealership I put $5000 down and a trade-in and I did not read the fine print. Not only did they s**** me out of my trade-in but basically pocketed the $5000 and not even credit the amount of the vehicle. The entire sales team lied to me about my second key and key fob valued at approximately $500 that I have yet to receive to this day. I get an Email from the manager, so I reach out to them today and got the manager on duty. When I told her I can see why you have a sub two star rating I was told and I quote. This is the sales manager on duty telling a customer well it sounds to me like you are a star person. I am a man of faith. I now leave this in the hands of my savior, and I hope and pray he deals with these lying backstabbing, degrading, arrogant people.Review from Renee F

Nice people but horrible communication. Didn't bring us the paperwork for the sale when they delivered the vehicle. Called and asked for them to Mail the paperwork...3 1/2 weeks later still nothing. Over 2 days had to call 5-6 times to get them to email it to me again (don't know where it went in my email the first time). Never again will I use any Shottenkirk dealership. Plus when you tell them you'll never use them again they really don't act like they even care.Review from Matt K

Dont buy here.Spoke with (via texts) to ********************* up until 6:41 the night before to confirm the car I was about to drive 1.4 hours to obtain first thing in the morning was still there. I told him to let me know if it sells.Dealer opens at 9:00 am and we arrived at 9:20 am. At 6:41 the night prior it was confirmed that it was still there. Sat with ***** and he kept trying to steer me to a brand new car. This was very slightly used.I called him out on it and he admitted to pushing me because there were more incentives in new ones. Then he said lets let you look at this one first. So he leaves to pull it up for us and we walk outside - after he explained it was a certified used, and all info on this specific car we went to see. We go outside and a totally different car is there. Not the color or year of the one we drove there for and confirmed.I was confused and ***** mumbled something about bad news and in the morning meeting I learned it was soldI was a little unclear if I heard it correctly as wed sat at his desk for ***** min discussing THIS car as if it was in fact in stock as I was told.I dont believe that car was ever there. I believe it was a bait and switch. No call in the am, no warning upfront before we started the process that car was sold in the one hour after my confirmation texts. I do not believe that but my irritation grew with how it was handled.Apologies peppered with lies. Even the Manager (****?) said ***** didnt know it had been sold.He DID. He admitted it to us and we told **** that. The reason for that was given as he was nervous to tell you.****** response to lying about it being there was what difference would it have made? and I wanted to sell a car.To add salt in the wounds 15 min later after we leave we get an email from him (auto generated but still) talking about the fictitious car we drove there for. It thanked us for coming in and provided me a CarFax link to the missing vehicle.Review from Leonard J

Original price for 2017 Cadillac XT5 was $17,500 on the web. Somehow it was changed to ****** on sales records.I repeatedly reminded finance specialist that we were about to receive a large check from GEICO and would like to put financing on hold. But was ignored! Dealer processed $0 down financing. When I brought a cashiers check to dealer finance rep, instead of contacting the finance company to correct amount we needed to finance, dealer rep bought car back and applied another set of financing, TTL, etc to purchase.Dealership financing had little or nor regard for our financial position (retired on fixed income) and did everything he could to increase the cost of the vehicle.Summarily, the dealer reps demonstrated little or no ethics during our purchasing experience.Additionally, dealer refused to provide two key FOBs for the vehicle. We had no choice but to pay a locksmith $400 out of pocket for a new FOB,Review from Natasha R

DO NOT PURCHASE A VEHICLE HERE!!!I have tried several times to speak and/or meet with the ** regarding a transaction that occurred at his dealership on 12/27/2023, however I have been denied that access by either staff or the ** himself (i.e., not on site, on the phone, or in a meeting). I understand that being the General Manager is likely a busy and tiresome role, therefore he has little to no time to meet with every peasant customer that comes through the location. What occurred?? The shortest version is that we were hoodwinked into believing we were leasing a vehicle at MSRP and would be in a great place with equity since we had a nearly $30k trade-in. Not the case! They pulled a ************* and we discovered it the next morning, less than 24 hours from the transaction. By time our lease is done we would have paid just $14k under MSRP and supposedly the vehicle will be valued at no less than $48k, for us to consider purchasing at that time. We have been to the dealership twice since the transaction and called several times. We are constantly denied access to the ** - the king in his castle cannot be bothered to deal with the customer, only his peons.Review from Cherie B

Worst experience ever! They will bait you on the internet with a low price, then once you arrive tack on $5 k of mandatory fees etc.Review from Jodi L

Uniquely Horrendous Car Buying Experience. The hidden dealer fees (glossed over at best) were unacceptable. Trying to get them to negotiate and make things right was a nightmare. We were lied to by every person in leadership we spoke to. I finally called the lender and told them not to fund the deal because I was so unhappy with the whole situation. After playing hardball with the finance director we got them to take the car back and cancel the deal. The culture around this dealership is so base. Do not do business with these people.Review from Robert J

It looks like we're not alone. I brought my daughter in to buy her first car -- a 2016 Acura. The price listed was a pretty good deal ... not fantastic, but in the retail market, pretty good. We test drove the vehicle and sat down to start a simple, cash transaction. When I asked the sales person how to wrap up the deal, she said that I would have to talk to her manager first. They brought out a COMPLETELY REVISED price that included a 33% increase in price based on some kind of after-market offering (free replaced keys and things like that) -- generally things you don't need with a nearly ten year old car. The pushy nonsense that ensued was baffling. Worse, they gaslight you into believing that because you won't pay their new version of the fair market, the customer is somehow to blame. They say things like: "I don't understand, the REAL value of the car is X when that value is literally 1/3 over the price of the LISTED MSRP. The beat-down was indescribable and baffling in this day and age. So. If you enjoy really old-school sales tactics coupled with unethical business practice, this is the place for you.Review from Diane L

People that add on things when they were just told one did not want them. An agreed upon fifty eight thousand dollar truck came out to over seventy five grand. I trusted them when I should not have done so as I had no idea they had done this to me. Even had another employee in the room distracting me while I signed my life away. Just go read on social media, I have read that they pay ****** to get rid of most of the negative reviews so who knows who *************. Just do not be gullible like I was. They have cheated so many people. Some have been smart and just walked out but I was dumb and did not read everything like I should have. On social media you can read where past employees have quit because they had integrity and would not do that to people anymore. Do not trust them at all. I will never even take my truck there for service as my friends that also got rooked by them have taken their car in there many times and they still have not fixed it. They are all crooks, do not buy from them, do your research like I should have done and usually do and now I am paying the price.
