In 2021 I made a **** deposit for 2 weddings. A short time later while paying off one wedding we learned one of my daughters was unsure about her wedding date and location so I tried to move her deposit from her wedding to my others daughter wedding. *** said I should leave the deposit as it was so we didnt lose the date. I told her I didnt want to risk losing my deposit and she said it would be K that if we didnt end up having the second wedding then she would give me a full refund of my deposit. At that time we moved the date out a year and again May assured me that we would get the full refund if the wedding wasnt going to take place. I contacted *** Tuesday April 5th and requested to cancel the wedding and get my full refund and at that time *** decided to go back on her word of giving me a full refund claiming contract rules says only 50% would be refunded. I believe *** lied intentionally a year ago to keep me from moving the money over to my other wedding event so she could keep my deposit! This is very dishonest business practices! I never once requested any kind of refund for the first wedding even though we had multiple issues like pests issues, broken furniture that we had to repair so we could use and black substance in the water lines making using some of the facilities usable ! We didnt request compensation and just moved on. After the issues during first wedding and *** being dishonest , I am requesting a full refund! I want my full refundBusiness response

Our customer was terribly mistaken concerning a full refund of a wedding deposit made for her daughters wedding. We sell wedding dates. We allow weddings to be paid out by the brides. We felt we had been more than accommodating. We held two
different dates for this guest for over 1 year.
These dates are completely blocked off of our calendars and marked sold. The contract that she signed states our cancellation and refund policies. . We refund 50% of deposit when theres a cancellation.
We are a well respected venue that prides itself in honesty and integrity.
We strive to please all our guests and want them to leave happy.
This was an unfortunate misunderstanding and has since been corrected and settled.
