Got electric gate serviced. My wife initially spent $187 for initial consultation. Was unable to complete service due to ant infestation. Ants were taken care of. Charged an additional $200 to complete work. She was told she was being charged an additional $175 for door opener (which are $40-50 online). Technician was unable to fix issue. Sent another technician that was able to get the gate functioning. But that technician charged $125 that was *****'d to a different phone number than the company's. I called company back out to have them find out why gate was closing half way and staying like that. 2 guys showed up, looked at it for 5 minutes, with nothing done because it wasn't acting up at the time. Asked them if it is possible to program to vehicle and they stated yes, but wanted to charge just to tell me how to do it myself. Upon departure, rudely stated "I'm not going to charge you for this service call, but if we need to come back out here, we'll have to charge you". Once guys left, my wife told me about $125 Zelle'd to a different phone number. I was livid. All-in-all:-Unprofessional (upon me researching company, found out their address is at a mall, they're not in County's Assumed Name Database, and company email is gmail; my wife should have never hired them)-Rude -No invoice or accountability for charges.-Overcharge for equipment (I can understand a little markup, but 3-3.5x).-Payments through Zelle.-Take advantage of women (not only outrageous upcharge on equipment, but additional charge that probably went to technician for services that were already paid for).90% dissatisfied with interaction as a whole. 5% satisfied because they were able to get gate functioning (somewhat).5% satisfied with prompt service.
