I was referred to Matrix Plumbing by my *************** Insurance Agent for the sole purpose of identifying the exact location of a plumbing, specifically a slab leak. ***** from Matrix Plumbing came out and determined I had a slab leak under my hall bathroom, approximately 10 feet from the outside of my house. I took their Leak Detection Report to a plumbing company I trust and signed a contact with them to do the repair. The company required a 50% down payment ($1,109) at the bringing of the work. After digging 12 feet under my home, no leak was found. Matrix Plumbing came back out and this time **** said my slab leak was 3 feet from the outside of my house under a bedroom. This second location was over 10 feet way from the first location. After **** left, I went outside to check my shutoff valve that he had located and immediately recognized the leak was coming from the valve. The plumbing company I had hired for the initial repair was able to replace the valve and fix the leak for $450. When I called Matrix and asked them to reimburse me for the $1,109 I spent based on their inaccurate Leak Detection Report, I was told excuses as to why it wasn't their responsibility to make this right and further more, my requests to speak with ***** have fallen on deaf ears. Matrix Plumbing calls themselves "Leak Detection Experts" and states they're "DFW's Trusted Leak Experts". I am out $1,109 based on their mistake and their lack of interest in righting this wrong or even returning my call is professional and unethical.
