This company is a scam. Need kitchen sink snaked, they came out and all they cared about was selling me a maintenance package, then without doing anything but running water they told us it would be $740 plus the $99 trip fee. This is a scam, I got ripped off $99 for the guy to come in to use my ac to cool down. Other companies only charge around $150 including the trip charge. Paid the $99 and Told the guy to get out of my house and never come back.

Thank you for your feedback. Im truly sorry to hear about the negative experience you had. However, I want to address a few concerns to ensure we provide accurate information and maintain a respectful dialogue.

First and foremost, we do not tolerate any form of discrimination or disrespect. Its important for us to create a safe and professional environment for both our employees and customers and our employee was aggressively and verbally kicked out of your home.

Regarding the estimate, we strive to be as clear and transparent as possible about our pricing and services. If there was any misunderstanding or miscommunication, I would like to apologize and offer to review the details of the estimate with you to clarify any confusion.  The estimate provided to you was to clear the kitchen sink and to camera your branch line.

We take customer feedback seriously and aim to improve our services based on your experience. A manager tried to reach out to you.  Please contact us back so we can address your concerns and work towards a resolution. Your satisfaction is important to us, and we want to ensure any issues are properly addressed.

Our A/C wasn't cooling. I called Salt Air and Electric. This was not in the hot season, and not on a weekend. It was not an emergency request, just a normal service request. The technician walked to the outside unit and said "I can hear it, I know exactly what it is."It turns out that a defective capacitor is a usual problem.I was charged $189.00 for a diagnostic fee (which took him seconds), and $437,57 for a replacement capacitor. Total $626.57.The repair took about 10 minutes. Then he spent over half an hour trying to sell us a "peace of mind" contract for $25.00 per month. ($300.00 per year)I went on "Nextdoor" chat site and reported the event. There were over 30 responses, all of which said that Salt way overcharged. I was ripped off.A/C companies that only charged a fraction of what I paid.I phoned the company and spoke to ***************************.He said that their pricing is based on the fact that they have "business expenses, land training expenses and they also donate to charities". What a line of B.S.On top of everything they offer NO military discount, No senior, No first responder discount.

My wife and I are homeowners in ************. We encountered the worst customer ********************** ever from SALT, and it started on 05/23/2024. One of their SALT technicians would come out that day. All we wanted was a quote for an electrical job that needed to be done at our home, but instead my wife was inundated with other non-related services that they provided (STRIKE 1), and then somehow the technician convinced my wife to sign a monthly maintenance agreement plan. **** calls this agreement a "contract". That same day I called my wife and asked her to cancel the plan with ****, which she did, but it wasn't canceled on 05/23/2024 (STRIKE 2). The next day on Friday 05/24/2024, I emailed SALT to confirm that our maintenance plan had been cancelled, but no one responded (STRIKE 3). After the long Memorial Day weekend on Tuesday 05/28/2024 out of nowhere I received a text from SALT indicating a SALT technician would be coming out to service our home, which we never scheduled (STRIKE 4). As soon as I received that text, I immediately called SALT to let them know we never scheduled and then I asked if our maintenance plan had been cancelled, and the lady proceeded to tell me it hadn't been cancelled (STRIKE 5). After further phone communication with SALT, the lady connected me to one of the SALT managers. The SALT manager finally cancelled the maintenance plan, but made the effective date 05/28/2024, and I asked him why if my wife called on 05/23/2024 to cancel, which SALT never did (STRIKE 6). The SALT manager indicated to us that we would not get a refund on the maintenance plan charge even though we cancelled on the same day it was initiated (STRIKE 7). As I was typing this review, I received another text from SALT and again it indicated that a SALT technician would be coming out to service our home on 05/30/2024, but we never scheduled it and plus the service address was incorrect (OUT OF STRIKES). In closing, we would never recommend SALT to anyone.

We had SALT put the septic alarm on a separate circuit from the septic pump to ensure a tripped breaker doesnt take both offline. They technician indicated a considerable level of effort to split the circuit and gave us a quote from based n their Standard Pricing Sheet. The actual work took far less time than originally indicated, and after subtracting out the trip charge and retail cost of materials, the labor calculated at $604/hr. per person, an indefensible amount. Before posting a review, we wanted to address our pricing concerns directly with SALT. Over a 2-week period, we called 4 times and the manager was not available so the receptionist took a message. On the 3rd and 4th calls, the receptionists was very apologetic and said she didnt know why the manager was not returning the calls. The manager finally called, and after discussing the itemized pricing, he stated we were only complaining his technicians are more efficient than other companies. We pointed out that $604/hr is not a slight efficiency premium but considerably more than most lawyers charge. Another electrician felt we were overcharged by 3 or 4 times the going rate for the work performed.

I have a shower head with a very slow drip and thru research found out the cartridge in ****************** valve needed replacing. ******* is sending me a new valve no charge but I chose not to wait and called Salt. Prior to their arrival I purchased a new valve and shower head comparable to what I had except Delta brand just in case. Also purchased simple shower filter that screws in at both ends. The serviceman looked at everything and said ******* and Delta fixtures aren't compatible even though the box says universal which I confirmed w/ Home Depot. So I asked how much to replace cartridge and install filter and the quote was over $700! Was offered $600and something if I joined their club for $20 per month. Sent him on his way but had to pay $99 service call which I was told would be waved if hired for job. Total Scam and severe price gouging!

SALT installed a generator in my backyard today. They were thorough, knowledgeable and explained each step of the process. We lose power every other week and I am so glad I wont have to worry about that anymore. I enrolled in the ***** program and look forward to them maintaining our home HVAC, Electrical and ******** systems.

They don't need your business. I know because I've been trying to give them money for months and they aren't interested. They won't give me an estimate OR say "no, we don't want the job." They just don't communicate and left me hanging multiple times. I had called for a quote to install a transfer switch. I didn't even competitively bid it. They said they needed an in-person estimate to scope the project (ok, fair enough). I met with their estimator for 90 minutes. He stated I'd have an estimate within a few days. It's been 3 months. I tried to follow up. I sent emails, I called the office. I've waited on a reply within 24 hours a couple times. I just tried once last time. I got the same run around. I asked to speak to a supervisor or a manager or someone who had the ability to move this forward --- just to ask them to send a new estimator already because it's nuts that I can't get this. I DID verify that *****, my estimator, still worked for them. He does. They just can't seem to get him to do this. Also, all the managers and supervisors are in a meeting and apparently have been in that meeting since around April 5, 2023. (Today is 4/24/23).

Not trustworthy - They told my panel, breakers and sub-panel were not up to code - which was a lie. I've since received a second opinion and home codes are relative to the age of the home. They used fear tactics to upsell me products I didn't need and charged double anything else I've had comparison quotes for, even with their supposed membership discount. I thought I was getting a good quality provider, turns out all I got was a wolf in sheep's clothing.
