On October 5, 2023 my husband ***************** had a CT scan. Insurance confirmed he had met his deductible and out of pocket so no payment required from him. Upon arrival at 7am they insisted he pay $319.80 if he wanted to continue with CT scan. After much discussionhe paid it to get the scan. Insurance processed and paid claim in full with no patient payment required. After 8 calls billing agreed a refund was owed of $319.80. However it has not been processed. Repeated calls to the center manager, ******, who has not returned calls or joined a call. ****** is unprofessional and rude, and puts you on hold and leaves you on hold. It should not require this amount of effort to get a refund when you were charges in error, and the level of service is unacceptable.Business response

Touchstone Medical Imaging is committed to our patients privacy and to complying with all applicable law pertaining to patient privacy, including the **************** Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). As a result, we are not able to specifically address the Complaint in this public forum. While we cannot comment directly on patient communications or care, please know that any patient concern related to billing and collections is addressed directly with the patient. Patients are also encouraged to call the billing department, and may request to speak to a patient experience supervisor. In the alternative, patients may request to speak to the center manager at the location they received services.
