Beginning in April 2024 I have deligently been trying to get my daughter neuropsychological testing. Our primary insurance is blue shield of ca with Magellan being their mental health department. NO whatre does it state on my card that these two entities are separate! You would think their customer service would be on the same page but they are NOT. Magellan says one thing and Blue Shield says something else and in doing so keep denying my daughters single case agreement with every phone call made being a different reason and never on the same page with blue shield. I have been made to go in circles file appeals and requests that each take 30 day review and still as of today have received a whole new denial for a reason that was NEVER discussed in the multiple previous calls. It is disappointing frustrating and should be illegal that these games are played when children are in need and we are supposed to have a health plan that is a PPO and should cover these services. I can only pray our union leaves blue shield and Magellan and returns to ********** where we have NEVER had these issues before. I will not stop fighting until my daughters claim is paid at a reasonable rate!Business Response

The health insurance policy I have was purchased through *************** and a billing error occurred where Marketplace Exchange did not send an updated file with the correct premium payment amount that I was responsible for until 2 months afterwards. I paid the owed balance and am now being refused reinstatement, as they claim it is Marketplaces fault, claiming that they sent a termination (WHICH ISNT EVEN EFFECTIVE UNTIL 10/31/2024.) I have a blood test and an upcoming appointment that needs to be covered and Im sick of dealing with people who cant understand basic things.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
A HIPPA Record Disclosure Form was signed by me so that Molina Healthcare of MI may disclose my records to the BBB. Molina Healthcare of MI has NOT attempted to contact me directly as they claim. Further attempts by Molina Healthcare of MI to stonewall the complaints investigation, or continued refusal to render the services that in which I have paid for to the end of the month, will result in legal action against Molina Healthcare of MI. This is the last and final warning to Molina Healthcare of MI.

I called Molina Healthcare weekly. Every time I call I am hung up on weekly. Secondly, the rep *** was not willing to get a supervisor on the line. He did not place me on hold. He kept telling me a supervisor was in a meeting. The claim had no check number only paid date for two months ago. He tells me to contact Echo which is not correct. I am rejecting this response because: Molina Healthcare is lying. And their response has nothing to do with privacy, but it is rather camouflage to hide their deceit. Molina Healthcare has NEVER been a provider to either myself or my disabled sister. Molina Healthcare is NOT even an option on list of options provided to us by the Sate of **********. In 2012 I changed my disabled sister's *****Cal health insurance coverage from ** CARE to ******************** Solutions (*****Cal) -- and we've remained with Health Net since. Molina Healthcare has NEVER serviced either one of us. They are fraudulently sending Phishing packages to seniors, and disabled one at that -- to trick them to follow the instructions to enroll them without the individuals realizing they are being DUPED.
Let me REPEAT, Molina Healthcare is NOT even an option listed on the ******************* correspondence I received recently in which our choice (Health Net) is confirmed.
Molina Healthcare has been fined for ignoring member complaints...high six-figure fines for illegal/improper and duplicitous behavior.
Molina Healthcare needs to OWN UP and CEASE MAILING PHISHING PACKAGES UNLESS SOMEONE REQUESTS THEIR MATERIALS.
I am a Concerned Citizen, Concerned Family of Senior Disabled person being fraudulently sought by Molina Healthcare. Their reputation precedes them.

It is very clear that Molina Healthcare is hiding behind a false claim that the complainant or family member were once "members." This is patently FALSE and only intended to hide their dishonest and fraudulent actions. They have a history of bad behavior. The ******************* has already fined Molina healthcare with very significant fines for very BAD behavior. This is nothing new...
Molina Healthcare's ability to do business in ********** should be revoked for the benefit of all Californians.
I hope BBB will take this issue seriously and take further action.

I called Molina exchange three weeks ago to update my address. Molina changed my policy and did not update me of my change in amount because they sent the notification letter to the wrong address. This violated my hIPPA right to informed billing. I called them several times and they just kept sending me in circles with the market place. They did not resolve anything and did not refund my money. There is no one to talk to. Everyone just keeps blaming eachother. There is an automated line that never gets answered. I cancelled my membership today and want all my money back. They ripped me off and this is very unethical to charge someone who was paying $63.00 a month and all of the sudden have me pay ****** and draft if from my account. The problem is that they never notified me. This should be illegal and they should be shut down!Business Response

I would like Molina to speak to the market place, the their billing department and to the agent that filed my insurance contract. I want them to listen to their recordings and they will find fault in the rush that the agent processed my insurance. They do not need me to continue to call the marketplace.
