February 2024 I submitted an application for dog license on two dogs. All supporting documents were provided. Havent received anything, Ive sent two emails with no response and called several times. Why are they in this business? They obviously dont care about our pets!

We appreciate the customer letting us know about the issue! We were not able to find the prior application, but we contacted the customer to resolve the problem. She graciously provided them to us, and we have issued the licenses. A copy of the license receipts have been emailed to her.

I paid for my dog's pet license for **************, **. Website says license will be mailed in 10 days. It has been over 30 days and I have yet to receive anything from them. I have emailed, called... still no response. I want a refund and I will go register my dog in person!!! I do not trust that this is a legit company.

We appreciate the customer licensing her pet! We mailed the tag on 4/4/24, and we have contacted the customer directly via voicemail to find out if the tag has been received since the date of this submission. If not, we will be happy to get a replacement tag sent out at no charge.

On Feb 21, 2023 I paid $31.00 for a two year dog license. I was promised the tag would be at my address within 14 days. I called on March 18 and the rep told me it was sent out on Friday. I called again today March 21 and the rep said she would mail again to allow 3 weeks. This is uncalled for and a bad business.

      Business response

      04/29/2024

We appreciate the customer contacting us to let us know about her concerns, and I have contacted her via email to apologize for the tag delay. If she has not yet received her tag, we will be happy to get a replacement sent out free of charge.

I paid for my dog's license for one year in July 2023 and then received a receipt and the metal tag in the mail. 4 months later I received a request to pay the license again because the deadline for the Rabies vaccination had allegedly expired. I then sent the certification of the valid Rabies vaccination and the invoice from the vet by email. In March, I received another request for payment, this time with an additional late fee of $15.

      Business response

      04/29/2024

We have reviewed the customer's record and determined that the billing was correct in this case. Based on local ordinance, the pet's license could not be valid for longer than the rabies vaccination that was valid at the time of licensing. Both the license and vaccination expired in November 2023. The next license for November 2023 through November 2024 is still due, but as a courtesy, I have waived the late fee for the license. I have also reached out to the customer directly with the details.

      Customer response

      05/02/2024

I have reviewed the business response and accept this resolution.

PetData has two records online of the same dog. They have billed me in November 2023 and in January 2024. I paid both. I then received a second notice of non-payment in February 2024.They are collecting for Fairfax County. I have submitted a rabies certificate, as required, online.I have attempted to contact the company on three occasions. They do not answer their phone. They do not reply to emails. Note that I have called as directed during normal business house listed on their website and mailings.I ask to make my account current (paid in full) and for reimbursement of my $10 overpayment plus the processing fee they charge for online payment. The reference number for ***** (*****) the dog is *********

We appreciate the customer letting us know about the duplicate payment. We found the duplicate record, and we have now merged that. We have also refunded the duplicate payment in full.

Paid for a pet license a month ago with the promise of within 10-business day turn around. No delivery. No response to emails. No customer service over phone (closed for a different reason each time I've called at reasonable hours during weekdays). Why am I paying for 12 month's of license when I only get 11 months(or less) of validity?

      Business response

      01/26/2024

We appreciate the customer letting us know about the problem! The customer's tag was mailed out on January 23rd, and a copy of the license receipt has been emailed today. The license cannot be valid longer than the expiration of the rabies vaccination, so we are not able to extend the license term. However, the customer did pay on time, and his license is considered valid as of the date of payment. We have reached out directly to answer any other questions the customer may have.

I received a notice in the mail on December 14, 2023 from Petdata on behalf of ******** Health and ************************ of ******************** of ****** Control. I want to know how Petdata received my information and at what point was my private information disclosed to a third party. There is no discloser of information statement on this notice, no discloser of information statement on the Petdata website and no disclosure of information statement on the website of ******** Health and ************************ of ******************** of ****** Control. When I called Petdata customer service, I spoke with a rude barely awake representative who stated they got my information from my veterinarian who by-law has to report rabies vaccinations. This is incorrect. By law veterinarians have to report pet bites and rabies they do not report rabies vaccinations. When I pushed further for an accurate response, the customer service representative refused to answer any further questions. The Petdata notice received is creepy and sets off major alarm bells in an age of identity theft and data breaches. Do consumer privacy laws and information disclosures not apply? Why is my personal information concerns treated so cavalier? Was my information sold to Petdata and what are they doing with my information? What assurance do I have that Petdata will not share my personal private information?

      Business response

      12/28/2023

By law, rabies vaccination information is provided to the State. All dogs 6 months or older must be licensed in ********. A rabies vaccination is required to obtain a dog license. Rabies vaccination records are matched against dog licensing records. If ******** are not licensed, a license reminder is mailed. ********************** operates under contract, and by contract, all data remains the property of the State. PetData does not sell data or use the data for any other purpose than what is specified under our contract with each municipality that we work with. On June 8th 2023 we sent proof of rabies vacination and paid on line for a 3 year license for my 84 year old mothers dog - on 06/22/23 when it hadn't been received we called and talked to ***** there in their office she said they didn't receive the proof of vaccination - so while on the phone we sent the proof she said she received it and we would have the license in 2 weeks - on July ******* we called again and spoke to ******** and was told they didn't have the proof - I told her we had spoken to ***** and she said she had it - was told again that we would have the license in 2 weeks - today 07/21/23 called again - this time I was told that we already had a 1 year license however the dog has a 3 year rabies vaccination - so they would refund all but the 1 year license - we got a 3 year vaccination to avoid my mother of having to go through this every year - I believe they owe us a refund of the entire amount since we will be going elsewhere to purchase the correct 3 year license. The employees especially ******** were very rude and not easy to deal with. Please see what you can do to help. Thank you

I called regarding a letter I received and the customer service rep was condescending and kept interrupting me. I was in the middle of asking her a question when she interrupted me so I told her to let me finish asking my question. She proceeded to hang up on me. I called back and asked for a manager and was transferred to ********. I asked her why she hung up and she laughed and hung up again. I have also sent 2 emails regarding this complaint and have yet to hear back.

We appreciate the customer contacting ** to let us know about her experience. A supervisor spoke with the customer soon after the initial phone call and believed her concerns to be resolved, and we apologize for the miscommunication on the customer's desired resolution. Our Operations Manager left a voicemail for the customer on May 9th to follow up. We are happy to speak with the customer.
