          On January 2, 2018, BBB opened its investigation into the business practices of Franchise Equity Group prompted by a sudden influx of consumer complaints and inquiries alleging the business failed to pay recent dividends and it has not returned consumer calls and emails.

          On January 3, 2018, BBB confirmed that with property management that the suite where Franchise Equity Group claims to be located does not exist. Additionally, BBB confirmed that Franchise Equity Group has not been a tenant in any unit in the building.

          As well, BBB made multiple attempts to contact Franchise Equity Group by calling each of its telephone numbers (214-396-5881, 800-675-2605, 214-396-5089, and 972-740-4873). BBB was not able reach anyone or leave a message because the numbers were either no longer in service or the call could not go through.

          As of March 8, 2018, BBB has exhausted all forms of contact with Franchise Equity Group. Consumers with outstanding concerns are still encouraged to file a complaint for BBB records, but may also wish to contact the Texas State Securities Board.
