My husband, *****************************, traded in a vehicle on May 11th at the AutoNation ************************************ location for another used vehicle. During the payoff transaction, AutoNation sent the payoff check to the wrong location. The check was returned and we have confirmation it was received back at AutoNation on 6/7. To this day we have sent various emails, made multiple phone calls and even given our bank permission to speak to AutoNation directly to get the trade paid off. No one at AutoNation is now responding and we continue to pay for a vehicle that has been in their possession since 5/11. It has now been 42 days since the transaction, and we have no commitment that this will be taken care of. The car to be paid off has a loan in both ******* and my name and our credit is being affected by their mistake. Additionally, we are now paying for 2 cars, without a commitment that they will reimburse us for the payment we have now had to make or the additional payoff that is being accumulated each day this is not taken care of. Prior to taking legal action, we figure it may be worthwhile to file a BBB complaint to try and get help with this. The Deal number at AutoNation is ****** and the *** for the vehicle to be paid off is *****************. This has been an absolutely awful experience that has now put us in a financially difficult position. I am not sure about others, but paying a ****** payment for a car we no longer have possession of is a pretty big stretch on funds, especially after putting the money down for the newer vehicle.

Dear Sir/ Madame, November 22nd 2021, my Mother ******************* passed away, she held a Vehicle Protection Plan policy with your company for her 2015 Honda Fit, the car has sold and I would like to cancel this policy and be fully refunded for the remainder of the money can you advise me on the procedure. Attached you will find a copy of her policy with all the details needed as well as a Death Certificate and copy of her Will stating I am her sole beneficiary as well. My fiancé reached out recently and spoke with the "provider administrator of the policy or the parent company", and they advised us to contact you, Auto Nation direct for the refund of the cancelled policy. Unfortunately we have tried calling several times, emailed and left messages and NO one has communicated with a response. This seems like a straight forward procedure, I want to cancel, you refund me the money. I can provide you with my Mothers banker at "Pima Federal Bank" if needed as they handled paying off her car loan they are fully aware of the situation and that the Vehicle protection policy is fully refundable to me her daughter. If you could please let me know swiftly when this can be resolved that would be most appreciated. The best way to reach me is email as I am working abroad in London, I am happy to phone you straight back if easier. Thank you ****** *******

I am due a refund of $950 for gap insurance. I was told by the local car dealer I would receive it in 7 to 10 business days. This was back end of August 2021. I still have not received anything was told have to call ssc. Took 3 days to get anyone to answer phone and got nothing but the run around. No answer on to when they will send funds even though they admit they owe the money.
