I ordered a ****** ThinkCenter M93P and received it on 8/2/2024. There were no power cords nor any paperwork. The router and a keyboard were the only things shipped. I have left a voicemail and sent an email to them on 8/4/24. I cannot hook it up to my desktop screen as there sent nothing to hook it up with. The order #******Discount Computer Depot Response

We spoke to the customer today 8/5 and have arranged to send her the missing power supply for the micro computer. The order was for the desktop computer alone (see SKU 160434 on our website for confirmation) which comes only with itself and the power supply. We will happily rectify this error by sending the power supply ASAP.Review from Evan T

I purchased a Chromebook from this company (a third party seller on ******** that was listed as new. It is NOT new, it is used, and VERY used at that. It's so old the printed information indicating serial number, part no., etc. is almost warn off of the laptop and the power supply. No response was received from the company regarding this issue. I strongly advise anyone to look at the negative reviews and complaints about this company if you are considering a purchase from them.Discount Computer Depot Response

Fortunately your order is still covered by our 30-day return policy so you can send it back for a full refund. We will also cover the return shipping. If you would like me to email a return label just let me know, I will. Alternatively you can take it into your local ******* and they will handle the return shipping instead, it is up to you entirely.
I went back to check the Chromebook listing on *******'s website, and I genuinely don't see where the Chromebook is advertised as "new" - if I can find it then we can fix it, it sounds like an honest mistake where a template was used to create the ad and they just forgot to change the "condition" section.
For context, we are a recycling / refurbishing company, and a ********* Authorized Refurbisher - refurbs are our entire retail business and we take pride in a good product for the lowest price.
P.S. I looked for any record of your attempts to contact us and I couldn't find a single email or message through the ******* platform. It would be helpful if you could let me know how you attempted to reach out so I can close any gaps in our support team that caused your communique to be missed.

i purchased a ****** n22 Chromebook and it works but- i had to re flash the whole thing to even get it to work because it was on a way outdated version of chrome os and was stuck on couldn't connect to network so i had to use my desktop and flash a chromeos image to an ** card press esc refresh power button and put the ** card in to re flash it with an up to date image and now everything works fineDiscount Computer Depot Response

They send me a computer that don't work so I send it back and send me some other computer but it also don't work so I just eat the computer don't worry about the money,I know if I send it back I just get a computer again that don't workDiscount Computer Depot Response

Hi Jimmy, I believe we spoke over the phone last week. Did you receive the battery I sent? I recall we spoke about installing the CMOS battery and then setting up the BIOS to try and get the computer working. Did you manage to do that? Also just so you know, you are still within the timeframe where you can return the computer for a refund. Discount Computer Depot has gone beyond the normal to deliver an excellent computer at a very reasonable price. Mr. ******************** a representative of the company personally called to inform me that the original computer I order would not be available because of an accident at the warehouse. He offered a free upgrade to a better computer at the price of the one I ordered. I agreed, and computer arrived on time. I had a slight problem on my part not knowing about the **** USB dongle, and contacted the company. Within minutes, it was explained to me and the computer was up and operating flawlessly.Discount Computer Depot and it's employees care that their customers are happy with their purchases and appear to make things right even at their expense. The piece of junk computer I ordered from this company was dead on arrival. In addition to whatever other problems it may have had, the battery wouldn't charge (the light was still red after being plugged in for three days), and the screen was completely black. And despite the ad's claim that it will "work right out of the box", when I contacted the dealer I was told that various things might need to be done to get it going, none of which worked. **********************.Discount Computer Depot Response

The Chromebook is still under warranty which means we will pay to replace it with one that is in perfect working order. It sounds like something must have happened to that one during shipping that damaged it and is preventing it from working - that is why the technician you spoke with attempted to troubleshoot the problem with you. We want to try to understand what went wrong so if there's anything we can do to prevent it in the future, we have the information we need to do so. In many cases, there is a fix that we can provide that doesn't require the item to be shipped back, assuming it's not physically damaged (software problem vs. hardware problem).
In any case, we mailed you a pre-paid return shipping label during the second week of April, our records show you received it on 4/12? However, tracking for the return label indicates it has not been used to send the defective Chromebook back - do you still intend to return it? If you prefer not to have it exchanged, you can still use the return label to send back the defective unit for a full refund (30-day money-back guarantee). Contact our support team again at ************ so we can assist you directly.

I ordered a refurbished computer from ******* Online from ********************** am very very disappointed. The computer arrived 2- weeks ago without the Ethernet cord. I notified Discount Depot & was informed that they would reach out to the customer. Well nothing happened. I called them again & same response. Hello. Hope you are doing well. I read your review and also went over all written correspondence you had with one of our representatives. Since we do not advertise or sell Ethernet cables, the rep offered on March 1st to have a Wi-Fi adapter sent instead, since your initial complaint was that you were unable to connect to your home Wi-Fi. You agreed to this offer. We shipped the Wi-Fi adapter that same day. It was delivered on March 6th. Please see **** tracking # 9400111206207192910245. We've not heard from you since then.
If a shipment doesn't reach you for any reason, we ask that you promptly notify us so that we can determine if the package was lost in transit, in which case we will ship the item again on our dime. For future reference, you can call ******-Fri 8:15AM-5:00PM CST at ************. In the meantime, however, I will go ahead and order another Wi-Fi adapter for you. My experience dealing with DiscountComputerDepot was exceptional. When I received the computer and the audio did not work I notified the customer service department and they replaced it with a faster computer with more memory. They paid for the shipping. **** their customer service manager was knowledgeable, polite and very accommodating.I have read many of the negative reviews on this site and I am convinced a lot of them have over reacted and misdirected blame. There are millions of complex and unforeseeable issues with even new computers so when buying a used computer at a CONSIDERABLE discount you have to expect might be technical issues, and unforseeable circumstances that come up. Seriously it is unreasonable to get mad and blame an entire company when a used computer you purchased for a 10th of what it initially cost has a problem. I have been an electrical engineer with a minor in computer architecture and networking for 40 years and I can tell you with absolute certainty that ***** every single brand new computer or other complex electrical device will one or more issues that require some level of expertise to resolve. I ordered a refurbished pc from them for my son for Christmas. When he opened it and we set it up there was no output to the monitor. We reached out to them for a refund as we got something else for him so he would have something that works. They refused to give us a refund and sent us to Allstate for the warranty. Allstate denied the claim because the product was unusable upon delivery from the manufacturer. This company is trash! Dont buy from them!Discount Computer Depot Response

Hello. The order falls outside the 30-day refund window, this is why the refund request was denied. But since Allstate denied your warranty claim, Discount Computer Depot will instead honor the warranty and replace the computer. We just require that the defective item be returned to us. This past Sunday, my husband ordered me a computer for Christmas. This company deducted the amount for the computer from our bank the next day (Monday). It cleared with no issues at all. Then Tuesday, they put the money back and canceled our order without a word until we contacted them about it after watching our bank account. The reason given...their system said it was a FRAUD transaction. Don't do business with them unless you show ** in person and hand them cash. That's a horrible way to do business. Hi, I reviewed the order in question and it appears that it was placed using a VPN (virtual private network). This is not allowed on our website. It is a very common tactic used by fraudsters to cover their online footsteps. To protect our business from such exploitation we block orders which exhibit such activity. The solution for you is to simply turn your VPN off, and then order again. This way, the transaction will not be auto-flagged and will be processed as normally expected.
