On February 14, 2022 I went to meet McBee and Company at their office to talk with them about doing my taxes for my personal and business returns. They were so nice and professional. I talked with *** McBride and *********************. I knew this was my first year being self-employed and my taxes would be more complex than in the past. I signed an agreement with them to do my taxes and also to file my returns and help with Quickbooks training. April 15th was getting closer and closer and I kept calling and getting the answer "we are really close" or the other answer from *** McBride "we are so short handed and it is hard to hire personnel". As time goes on and returns are still not done, I am told that they will file an extension and also pay any fines associated with late filings. Also, they said they would file my annual franchise tax. None of this was done. My taxes were incomplete as of May 17th when I said I wanted to cancel my agreement and request a refund. *** McBride then went on to blame me for my lack of responsiveness and also that my books were "such a mess". He also said they had out me in front of other "long time clients" because I complained so much. There was little communication and the emails are very abrasive when I was just trying to make sure I follow the laws and rules. I would like the funds I paid to be returned and they have broken the agreement. The total paid to them was $725.00.
