I scheduled a window tint job to be done when it was finished and I went to pay the amount mysteriously went from $330 to $430 a $100 more then the quoted price. If wanted the vehicle thats what I needed to pay. I noticed on the credit card receipt was an additional $23 dollars and I asked about this and they said it was a credit card charge. I wasnt even given the choice to pay with cash or told about any additional charges.

      02/27/2024

Tell us To Whom this may concern:

Good Morning, on February 19, 2024 we had a Window tint appointment with The Customer at
11:00 am on a 2023 Dodge Durango Hellcat.

The Service provided on that Dodge Durango was to get the entire vehicle tinted except the very back glass.

His service was $430 plus tax making his total to $465.48.Our Credit Card machine does take a 3.99% processing fee for all transactions, making the grand total to $484.10.  Customer was charged out without any incident or comment on the price.

The Next day February 20, 2024. Customer came in with concerns regarding his ticket and the different price of his credit card receipt and Invoice. Customer stated we over charged him what I believe but do not fully recall over $30 or so. I calculated the prices for him and informed him about our credit card machine processing fee and that the totals did indeed match. He then stated he wasnt informed of the fee and there was no notice posted about the fee. I apologized to him and informed him our business had just been remodeled last week and when the contractors were removing our things from the wall to paint, they broke my frame that said 3.99% credit/debit card processing fee. Save Money by paying cash sign and proceeded to show him the broken sign. He then angrily stated he had already disputed the charge on his card because he thought we were stealing money and said, I dont know how youre getting paid and walked out of the business.

I then proceeded to call our credit card processing partner (Whole Sale Payments) and explained the situation to him. They informed me if he did dispute the transaction my company would back us up and send the evidence (receipt and video surveillance) to his credit card company that proves the work was completed, however he said to make the customer happy it would be ideal to give him a refund for the $484.10 and charging him the $465.48 without the fee then walked me through the process on how to run his card without the fee. He also was going to send me over new signs to post at our business since mine were damaged due to the remodeling .

I then called the customer back at the number he left on his reservation, 20 minutes later after he left the business, and he did not answer or return the call back.

I also want to state the customer did not mention a $330 price when he came in on the 20th as he stated on his complaint on the letter sent to us. We do not have any Window tint service that would of cost him that price. If he would have gotten the whole vehicle tinted that would of ran him $475 and we subtracted $45 since he was not getting that back window tinted. Even if he would of got regular window tint instead of ceramic widow tint his price would have been $290 minus $40 since he did not get that back window tinted to $250 still not equaling up to $330.

The offer still stands to refund him and charge without the fee.

We strive to keep our customers happy, we are a local and family owned business in a small town and our reputation is strongly affected by word of mouth and keeping our customers happy.

I have attached the customers receipt.

Please let me know if you have any questions/concerns.

      Thank you,
