Started with a heating issue. They (First American Home Warranty), assigned a contractor (Faith and Hope, HVAC) to fix the air conditioner turning on when we wanted the heat to turn on. After the initial visit of 11/22, we were informed, "you need a new thermostat. They are on backorder, so it will take about a week. In the meantime, I'll set it so that your heat turns on, but your a/c will not work without a new thermostat." Several weeks passed with no contact Faith and Hope". After I inquired, they said we will set up a return appt. Sometime in Dec/*** received a random call in morning saying, "we'll be there in 30 minutes." I thanked them, but said, "my wife is in bed sick and as the thermostat is in the same room with her, it would be awkward; wouldn't you agree? " (he grumbled something) I requested a new appt (this time with advance notice). A few days later they left an auto voicemail message that they would be here between 9am-9pm on a Friday, 12/22 or 1/23 (I cannot find the exact date right now, but I can locate if/when needed.). After many repeated attempts to reach both First American Home Warranty, and thier contractor, **************************** I gave up and I canceled our First Amer contract after having had a policy with them since 1/15. No one has offered a resolution or fulfillment to the service request that started 11/22.
