February 21, I vacated a rental residence where I was a tenant since 2017. On April 1st I received a rental deposit refund for $217.00. Also with the check was an invoice for deducted charges. $83.00 for pest control, $250.00 for move out cleanup and $43.00 for damages. Attempts were made to Tropicana/ Next Home Rental just so I could receive in detail what the issues were that warranted the charges and deductions from my deposit of $595.00 I had no pest problems also the entire time I lived at the residence not one time did any pest control agency come by to exterminate or treat for any pest, I do not know what the damages were since I lived alone and why was I charged $250.00 for cleanup after move out. As of today 5-23-2022 I still have not heard from any management representative nor have I received any invoice in the mail explaining the charges. No one answers, the phone and there is no one ever inside the office to speak to about this matter. I left the apartment in good condition both inside and outside and I have a video as proof of the condition the apartment was I. When I vacated. Even prior to me moving out attempts from the company were made for an inspection but was not followed through since I had scheduled move out dates , carpet cleaners and boxes being all over the place at the time they wanted to complete an inspection the apartment was not in order. Even then I couldnt get anyone to communicate and reschedule for a more suitable day and time. I would really like to know what justifies such a small refund when the apartment was left in decent order considering Ive lived there for 6 years and new tenant were moved in about two weeks after my departure.
