On 06/08/2023 I picked up my car for having a $2100 new clutch installed. After getting it back and driving we noticed the clutch popping out of gear still and rpms revving to high. In taking it back *** said it was the transmission and gave me a quote of $2500 to fix it. I took it to the suburu dealer and they told me it was the clutch. Asking if the fly wheel was changed out. *** insisted the fly wheel didn't need changing that it was the transmission. So to appease ******* I asked ***'s to please take pictures of the new clutch and the fly wheel to prove to ****** that it was the transmission. It was still under warranty with rays to check the clutch. ***'s had my vehicle for 2 days on the third day they called to say it was the flywheel, they would charge me $900 additional fee to fix it. They would only charge me for the part. I called suburu and they said custom stock fly wheel was $525. So it makes me wonder where *** gets his coat from. When I asked why they didn't change it in the first place, he accused me of lying to him about flywheels being replaced with clutches and wanting something done for nothing. I am now in the process of saving my money to have ****** do the work properly. I am no longer able to trust ***'s certified mechanic. I have text messages back and forth with ***'s asking for pictures they were supposed to take and not getting but a couple of old ones, not ones I asked for. My personal belief is they'd have charged me to do the transmission and the fly wheel or pay for a transmission and change a fly wheel.
