October 2022 airline travel in *************** and ******** was processed by *************************** and made with my name misspelled. Because of this misspelling I could not be board the flight and needed to purchase new tickets at a personal cost of $775.60. The delay in travel to *******, ******** from *************** required an *********** hotel stay at a personal cost of ******** Peso ($50.84).When the flight tickets were generated on July 25, 2022 I identified the name misspelling and asked for it to be corrected. Unfortunately, the correction was only made on the *********** ****, ** *******, ** portion of the trip. The correction was not made on the ****, ** *******, **, - ****, ** portion of the trip for myself and my fianc *********************. I provided my passport to **************** at time of purchase for accurate information and spelling.I could not make any ticketing spelling corrections while in ***************. Cathay ******* airlines requires the travel agent make corrections. The passenger cannot. *************************** did not respond to my requests for assistance in a timely fashion. The appointment requiring travel to ******** was time sensitive and could not be rescheduled or delayed indefinitely. Thus, I purchase new tickets for myself and my fianc through Orbitz.com at a cost of $775.60.The cost of the unusable ****, ** *******, **, - ****, ** travel through *************************** is: $1,109.80. Requests for a refund to **************** have gone unanswered.Business response
