      On Tuesday Sept 6 I dropped my truck off at Don Davis due to a check engine light being on on my 2016 ram 2500. The following day Wednesday Sept 7 Nick, a member of the maintenance department called me. He listed a few things that needed taking care of including the crankcase filter needed replacing. I Ok’d the other work but asked specifically if the crankcase filter was the filter that sat on top of the engine under a plastic cover because if so I would change it myself to save the money. He replied that no this filter was down in the engine and you had to remove the valve covers and a wiring harness to get to it. So I not know what filter he meant ok’d him to do that as well. He told me that the work would be done Friday and they would get it back to me. An hour or so later I realized that the information he had given me was untrue and the filter was the one I thought it was so I called back up there to tell them not to do it. I was told Nick was at lunch and I would need to call back in 30 mins. When I called back I was told he had returned but was meeting with the manager and was put on hold. I waited another 30 mins before anyone picked up and I told the lady that I didn’t want them to change the filter so she put me on hold again. After another 15 mins Nick picks up and asks what I want. I explained that I did not want them to change the filter to which he replied that they had already began work and he would have to see what was done. After a few mins he came back and said that the filter was already changed so there was nothing to be done. I told him that I was not happy that I was lied to and that because of that they expect me to pay $363 for a filter I could have done myself for $140. He told me that I should have paid better attention and that there was nothing left to do. When I went to get my truck I spoke to the manager and explained the situation. He refused to refund me the labor cost on the filter when I asked. I had to pay $1926.76 in total.

      You were told by them (the dealership)that this car was checked out by mechanic and it was mechanically sound. But it’s obvious that it was not because your mechanics after they checked it out said that they were deceitful and that the codes were cleared and they knew The car had major issues. They did not act in good faith because they told you the car did not have any issues when they knew it did. Date of sale July 23, 2022
