****** was the general contractor on a home I purchased in Ennis, TX. The home cost approximately $900,000. There was a 152 page inspection report they were contractually obligated to correct all problems within 30 days and they did less than 10 of the repairs properly. In addition to the 152 page inspection report, the new home has been plagued with problems ranging from building a closet where there was supposed to be a powder room (I paid $20,000 for them to make it a powder room and they didn't), roof leaks, missing bricks on the exterior walls, doors that broke within a couple months of inhabiting, a water heater that isn't even capable of filling a tub with hot water or coming out of the tap over 100 degrees, spilled brick mortar in the front entry, dead sod in the front yard, missing window screens, huge paint spills on the patio, peeling exterior paint, interior damage from the roof leak, and many more defects. I have reported all of these issues to the owner of ****** and after being assured everything would be repaired repeatedly, they have completely disappeared and will not respond to any of my attempts at contact. I have not taken any litigious action against them yet. I did have a lawyer sent both ****** and the developer demand letters but I'm yet to hear back from either. I have been a licensed General Contractor in good standing with the California Contractors State License Board since 2008 before moving to Texas and I have never encountered their degree of incompetence and unprofessionalism. If I do not receive a satisfactory response to my lawyer's demand letter I will be taking litigious action against ******. Thank you for your time.

      Business response

      03/23/2023

Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2023/02/06) */ Hello BBB, Im writing to respond to the complaints **** ***** is attempting to place on my company ****** Premier Properties LLC. I was a contractor on the subject property but my company isn't responsible for any of the conflict that has occurred. We went above and beyond to rectify the situation even more than what was within my control. Homeowner **** ***** doesn't have any agreement with my company, non whatsoever, i was just (a)contractor on the job. Sad to say i do believe this could be some sort of sabotage on my company name, due to being a black minority contractor. Unless anything attached to my company can be proven, i would greatly appreciate my company maintaining the great reputation that I've built over the years. Ive never gotten any negative reviews, definitely wouldn't want to start now with something outside of my control. I would recommend he take the issues up with whomever he has been under contract with. There was miscommunications from the day 1 with development Coordinator, non of which i have any control over Consumer Response /* (3000, 9, 2023/02/06) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Race has absolutely NOTHING to do with this. ****** was the GENERAL CONTRACTOR on the job and introduced themselves as the PROJECT MANAGERS. Pulling race into this is just another pathetic attempt to avoid any accountability and borders on slander. I have numerous texts of them promising to fix things that are still broken and they are no longer responding despite the fact that the GENERAL CONTRACTOR is responsible for flaws in the home for the first 365 days after sale. Maybe we should see what a judge says about their multiple promises to address flaws within the home that are still unaddressed. Consumer Response /* (2000, 15, 2023/03/01) */ I blew this issue out of proportion out of frustration. I would like to recall my complaint, I do not want it to reflect on ****** Premier Properties, as I have faith in them that they will make the repairs they committed to making in writing. Please close this case and have it reflect that I am happy with ******'s response. Thank you.
