I went on Friday February 2, **** to purchase a 5 piece dining set from Texas Fine Furniture on ************************** A. An employee named ******* sold me the dining set at ****** dollars and said the set would be delivered Saturday February 3, ****. On Saturday, the movers for the company delivered the set at around 4-5pm and two of the chairs were broken and the main table was wobbly. I called the store and they offered to fix the table on Monday but I said I wanted a new one. I went back to the store to speak to the employee who sold them and noticed the display table I saw on Friday was missing. I asked him if he had sold me the display and he said, "Yes. I thought because you asked me if I had promotions it was okay to sell you the display". I explained to him I did not agree and that it was unlawful to engage in deceitful trade practices. Moreover, the item was defective because it was missing screws and the chairs were broken. The employee said they could remove the table and I would have to wait up to 2 weeks for a new one to arrive. I denied and said I needed a new one fast and he agreed to let me keep the old one until the new one arrived. On Tuesday, one of the chairs leg broke. On Wednesday, I went back to the store to advert them I did not want the new table and instead wanted my refund and they could have the table. The employee made up excuses to locate the manager, to which I had to find a way to contact him myself. When I spoke to the manager, ********************, I explained I would return the table with chairs and I did not want the new one. He refused to refund my money and acted rudely providing no solution. Additionally, he hung up on me. I understand by law the store should honor my refund unless they have a policy. The store does not have a refund policy that is accessible to customers.
