Car was dropped off by tow on 6/26/2023 with no refund after **** the manager stated he would give me a refund and the money for the detailing fee after a homeless person was found sleeping my vehicle. Had my vehicle since 04/27/2023 and car still isnt repaired first promise date of repair was 5/10/2023 and second promise date of 06/23/2023 and car still isnt repaired. **** wanted me to sign a settlement negotiation letter in order to get my money back and the detailing fee, 2 separate invoices with different price amounts, never gave me a document showing theyd ordered my parts, I also have a recording of them being caught in their lies, how could you keep my money and dont fix my vehicle, never ordered parts and neglected my vehicle for two months and allowed a homeless man to sleep in my vehicle, how could you say you diagnose my vehicle but then say you asked audi to diagnose my vehicle and fix my vehicle but **** said no but then tell me I can create a ticket to get my vehicle fixed at audi. These people are rip offs and I deserve my money back the detailing fee and extra compensation for pain and suffering, then didnt offer me a loaner car I had to ask for one after three weeks of having my vehicle. 2 weeks later they tried to take the loaner car from me. Because of these people I cant take my children to appointments or anywhere for that matter o have to Uber and Lyft to and from work I cant change my registration or plates or get an inspection, and still paying for my vehicle insurance and car note and I still have no car. And then to top it off youre trying to keep my money with no repairs made to the vehicle because you know you were wrong and want me to sign a document in order to get my money back for your negligence, breach of contract, privacy violation, and unethical business measures? I think not. Also I had documents in my vehicle which means the homeless man had access to my personal and private information.

My recent experience with L & D Automotive has caused me to file a complaint against them for suspicious practices pertaining to hourly labor costs and inflating the degree of work necessary to be prepared on a vehicle. In this most recent incident, L & D Automotive attempted to charge me $11, 676 for a "blown head gasket." Ryan and the business owner, Nick told me that my head gasket melted due to the intense heat of the engine when my vehicle's radiator hose snapped off the radiator. Of that $11,676, $5,011 was for labor and $3,890 was for a 6 month warranty for parts. Please note that not even a week earlier L & D worked on my engine and that included working on my radiator. I firmly believe that that they damaged my radiator and either covered the damage or set me up for a return visit to get more money from me. In the last week I had already paid $841 and $949 to them. Of those two charges, at least 50% of the fee was for labor. I started questioning Ryan as to how come there is no signage posted about their hourly labor charge. Ryan said that they charge "the automobile manufacturers recommended hourly rate for repairs" not a rate established by the business to make sure they are profitable. Ryan also justified the fact that there is no posting because "we hire quality mechanics and you have to pay for quality work." When I persisted to question their labor charges, Ryan switched me over to the owner, Nick. Nick also was vague about the charges and told me he was taking a loss on this job and gave me a $107 discount. Now me, being highly suspicious that I may be getting cheated, I told him to stop all work. I had my vehicle towed to Toyota of Rockwall. My vehicle was inspected by both lead mechanics there and they confirmed the engine was fine. The total cost of my repair by Toyota was $201.50 !!!! I can provide you with the repair order and inspection by Toyota of Rockwall to prove this. L&D can provide you with a copy of the $11,676 estimate.
