On 2/11/22, Allied American installed a motor for the microwave turntable. In the process, the glass in the door to the microwave fell & shattered. The repairman said he would order a replacement & come back to install it. Unfortunately, there are no replacements to be found. Because this is a combination wall oven/microwave & there is no replacement part, the only alternative is to replace the entire wall unit. Allied American said that they would install a new unit for us gratis after we purchased it. I responded that in addition to the free installation, they should pay for half of the new oven since the damage incurred was through no fault of ours. Our offer to pay half took into account the age of the wall oven. Since there are no 30" white wall oven/microwave combinations currently available anywhere, the only one available to order is at Nebraska Furniture Mart to be delivered on 9/23/22 at a cost of $2958 before tax. We are not trying to take advantage of Allied American. We just want our kitchen back to where it was as reasonably as possible. We certainly didn't plan on spending an extra $3000+ to replace a microwave turntable motor. Although he promised to call back after presenting my proposal to the owner, Wesley has yet to return my call.Business response
