-Made reservations at Comfort Suites, Lewisville through ****************************************) for May 30-June 6, 2022 -Morning of Monday, May 30, received text of exposure to Covid-19 from an event I hosted the previous Friday, May 27, One of the attendees had contacted my family member of testing positive to Covid-19. --Called ************************* immediately before check in time on May 30 at the above number to notify them of the exposure news, cancel the reservation so that I will not expose guests at the hotel and requested refund of $749.98 paid. -Got tested on May 31 and received the result on June 3, 2022 -Received e-mail from **************** June 12 that Comfort Suites declined request for refund. -Wrote a letter to Comfort Suites and hand delivered it to Comfort Suites requesting for refund. Mr. Patel who Manager on duty received the letter and attached documents. First, he claimed **************** did not contact his hotel. Later he said the request was declined because copy of the Covid test of the person who tested positive was needed. He promised to reply to my letter by the end of the day but is yet to do so. - I sent copy of the letter presented to Comfort Suites and all documents attached to **************** but I am yet to hear back from either since June 15, 2022. CDC requests anyone who tests positive to inform contacts by phone, text message or email but to provide proof of positive Covid test per CDC *************************************************************************** Copy of text received regarding exposure was provided to Comfort suites & **************** and is attached I have discharged my social responsibility to guests at Comfort Suites by providing information about my exposure and by not going to the hotel until I was sure I tested negative. I should not be punished for protecting the guests at Comfort Suites. Kindly recover the sum of seven hundred forty-nine dollars and ninety-eight cents ($749.98) I paid.
