    Claim XXXXXX No one responds to voicemail or emails. It's been 2-3 weeks with no replies. Moved on 7-18-2022 Filed claim immediately after delivery Adjust or came out took pics Repair company came to look at couch early august, sent add to info claims adjuster requested 2-3 weeks ago, they have gone radio silent since I sent over pictures and pricing for compariable pieces.

    I was moving across the country again, and wanted insurance to protect against any damages made by the moving company. I was referred to Baker Insurance by the moving company I selected. Upon arrival of my shipment, the movers lost at least four or five boxes. I initiated a claim to Baker Insurance to see how the process works and if there would be compensation for the missing boxes. Unfortunately, insurance does not cover missing items. But after I submitted the claim, I was told I would be contacted w/in one business day. Five days later I had to call and received the name of the claims agent who was handling my claim. She told me there was nothing Baker could do, but would advise me of the procedure and keep me informed. I followed up a month later, and received a back dated letter sent via email to me to let me know that I would be contacted shortly. It has now been almost two months and no one has ever contacted me. I called today and left a voice mail message for status on my claim, if any. I again received a back dated letter via email, stating the claim is now closed as the items in question were lost by the moving company. This process was protracted needlessly due to the lack of customer service. I would never consider ********************************************* for future moves. Its disappointing that they ignore the customer base that keeps them sustained.

    The claim was received in our office on October 26, 2023. The claimant was contacted on October 31, 2023, and advised that per the terms and conditions of the certificate of insurance, missing items are not covered unless exceptions/notations were made at the time of delivery. No exceptions were taken; therefore, we were unable to make consideration for the missing items. A letter was drafted on November 1, 2023, detailing and explaining the settlement (which included coverage for a broken lamp). The letter was mailed to the address provided on November 3, 2023. We regret that the claimant was dissatisfied but the claim was adjusted according to the certificate of insurance and communication was made promptly.
