I signed a contract with Fence Doktor on 3-5-24 to install sod on part of my yard. I was told if I pay for the sod now it would be cheaper because in the spring the price of sod was going up. The estimate for 5 pallets of sod, top soil and labor would be $5850.00. I paid $3200.00 down payment. The work was suppose to done in April. After numerous calls calls and delays, they showed up 5-23-24 to start the work. The work was completed on 5-27-24. 5 pallets of sod was not used. After 2 weeks of watering I saw a lot of weeds in my yard. I talked to someone at Fence Doktor and they told me if there were weeds it came from my yard. How could if come from my yard when you striped it and put top soil down.I asked that someone to come look at my yard. He had a number excuses why he could not come by to just look at the mess he made of my yard. I called at least once a week until 7-3-24. By then I realized that I was dealing with an honest person. I will pursue compensation in another way. I too am a senior citizen and a disabled veteran.Review from richie o.

******************* gave us an estimate of $2850.00 on 4/24/22 to hang 375 feet of 4' high 2"x4" metal fencing on existing poles. I'm 86 years old and crippled, my wife 81. Soon after he gave us that estimate, he told us he made a mistake and that it would cost almost $4,000.00 because he'd have to hire five workers for two days to complete the job. When we refused that offer, he lowered it to $3500.00 Just three men arrived - not 5 - at about 11am , and not long after and completed the job in five hours. ************ refused to come to approve his workers job, nor will he send me a itemized **** for the job after numerous requests. WHY? because I priced the fencing at ********** and it came to $672.00 (even less for him because of contractor's discount.) That means he charged me $2828.00 for five hours of labor.If I was a quick thinking younger man I would not have paid the $2000. balance after paying $1500. deposit. ************ took advantage of us old people and should be held accountable.
